Given the absence of street lights it was decided that beacon was required to direct the owner to their house. A custom-designed pier was build featuring a domed light and spot light illuminating the inlaid brass numbers set on an inlaid slate tile mosaic. Solid slabs of Ebel Wiarton Limestone pebble-top stone slabs are suspended on brackets on either side of a dimensional Indiana Limestone Cube.
