Tone of polished concrete floor

- I'm struggling to decide how dark to go with a polished concrete floor in a basement area that doesn't have much natural light - but where kitchen cabinetry will be white. I think dark is better as light concrete floors can look pallid and shows up all the dust. So I'm wondering how you can define how dark this floor is and why you chose this tone. Thanks.

    Thank you - we are more phenomenological architects (as wanky as that sounds) and don't like to misrepresent materials. That's a 'false' impression on our spaces, and thus we embrace blockwork or concrete or timber etc. for all the features/faults they may have. Good luck with your concrete.

Burnishing is a type of finish that is applied to a new concrete pour, before it is cured. A mechanical, powered trowel (helicopter) is used to create a finish that renders it with a level of sheen and the inconsistencies in colour are intended to form part of its appeal.
