Recessed motorized roller shades in downtown condo

Our long-term client bought an unfinished condo on the 6th floor of a downtown Ann Arbor, MI building. That gave our team the opportunity to hide 5” x 5” shade boxes above the ceiling allowing the shades to completely recess and disappear when not needed. The OpenLight shades produced in our Ann Arbor plant are a 3% open weave allowing the client to dramatically reduce the excessive glare of the western facing glass while retaining visibility through the screen. The shades are tied into the condo’s Crestron automation system along with the TV, music system, lighting, heating/cooling and alarm. All the different systems operate seamlessly off one tablet control.
