Victorian House

Traditional Dining Room

This Victorian home required a full-scale renovation and re-imagining to achieve a period look, but with a degree of eclecticism. White-painted wooden wall panelling was installed throughout the house to provide a classical yet light backdrop for the furniture arrangements. Vintage dark wood furniture was mixed with colourful new pieces, and converted gas light fittings were installed. Previously sealed fireplaces were opened up again and bricks were left exposed in several locations as ‘industrial’ accents. A number of custom designed storage units were built, from a large sliding wardrobe in the bedroom to a chest for bags in the hallway, doubling as a bench.
