Luna Design + Build

We hired Luna Build when we had to permit and fix a re-model from the previous owner of our house. The previous owner placed funds into escrow to cover these costs. Luna Build was very responsive initially, and when picking up their initial fees. Then they were impossible to reach. They took advantage of the fact that the project was being funded by the previous owner, and charged $30,000 for about 6-8 hours of work. This estimate and final amount wasn't even given to us until several months into the project, despite confirming that we would have that final estimate once the permit went through. It also took almost 6 months to do this work - even after receiving the city permit, there was months delay to do the work. Whenever we asked for updates, we were told "I'm not sure why you are worried about the cost, it's not your money" - without acknowledgment that we'd have to pay for any fees above the agreed amount, and also that we had a timeframe in which we had to use our escrow funds. Adam was uncommunicative, clearly took advantage of our situation, and overcharged tremendously. Would NOT recommend.
