Arlene Mcloughlin Murals

Arlene is GREAT! She did several projects in my house, that is, murals in my children's room, focus walls and murals. She is creative and imaginative. Arlene made suggestions that I couldn't envision, and they look fabulous!!!!! When redoing my daughter's room, she did a fabulous mural on one wall, included borders on the others and painted the furniture as well. Arlene goes above and beyond. While faux painting in my kitchen, she thought it looked to bland and added some extras to make it pop. The most important thing is that I trust Arlene. She shows up when she says she will, she cleans up every day AND I can leave her alone in my home. Arlene Mcloughlin has done work in my home and business for the last 10 years. She is so talented ,and makes everything look amazing. Arlene has done things for me from foe paint an accent wall to repaint my kitchen cabinets and make them look like new. I recently opened up a boutique, and was given an old register desk. Arlene made this desk look so unbelievable, it became the focal point of my store. she took it from broken down formica white with lots of little damaged areas to a metallic silver piece of art work that goes with the charm of my little boutique. Arlene is one of the most talented people I have ever come across, and as soon as I get an idea in my head to change something she is my first call!

I was first introduced to Arleans work when I walked into a friends house. I was floored! Every room that she had done in their house was amazing! My husband and I loved her work, especially the children's rooms! Having three girls myself I wanted to put a little flair on the plain pink and purple paint job we had. I called Arlean and she came over to take a look and showed me samples of other children's rooms she had done. I could not wait for her to start our girls rooms. It took her about 2 hours (which my husband and I still laugh about), because the work and detail that went into these rooms are insane...it should have taken days. It honestly looks like it was done with a stencil but was done completely free hand! There has not been one person who's jaw hasn't hit the floor after walking into my house and seeing her work. Arleen's work is flawless, timeless, classy, and well worth every penny.

After a very extensive and exhausting renovation of my co-op apartment Arlene arrived at my door with a smile on her face and her fabulous talent. Arlene assessed the bathrooms and kitchen and her suggestions of color and design was exactly what was needed to show off the changes that had been made. Arlene was a pleasure to work with and I only wish I had more rooms for her to do. .

I hired Arlene this year to re paint and surface my once brick fireplace. The task was not easy, she spent days filling in the grout with joint compound. She topped the fireplace with an Italian Venetian plaster. She then made it look like limestone. The results are nothing short of incredible. I know Arlene for many years her work is unique, she is creative, talented and above all a fantastic human being.

When my sister's home was being built, I could see from the architecture and interior design that it would be amazing. However, that was BEFORE Arlene, of Arlene Mcloughlin Murals, got there to paint. Day by day she worked her magic and artistic talent and created a unique masterpiece in every single room she touched. Venetian plaster, murals, faux paint, hand painted accents...you name it, she can do it all. Each room, ceiling, hallway and bathroom she worked in came alive and left me in absolute awe. It was then that I knew, as my own home was starting to frame out, I HAD to have Arlene work in my home as well. Arlene and her team work quietly and neatly. Arlene shows up on time and prepared and always gives you a sample before she begins. She is patient and helpful when you cant decide your color and textures. Then she puts her music on and gets lost in making your home unique. Even a simple accent wall can change the entire look and feel of a room at her skillful hands. I love color and wanted my home to be vibrant and warm but didn't want the same colors throughout the house. Arlene worked beautifully with the designer to make that happen. She literally made my walls look "old" by applying a plaster to give it that real tudor look and feel. Each room is different yet somehow flows from one to the next seamlessly. People are constantly asking "Is this wallpaper? It cant be paint, its so amazing!" or "I never knew paint could be so beautiful," Last, the proof of Arlene's work is there. Arlene has already won an award for her work in my home, and it will be featured in House Magazine next month. She enjoys what she does and can paint anything in your home to be a true work of art.

Arlene has been doing work in our house since 2008 when our 1st son was born. She painted our nursery an animal theme and than our 2nd son a nautical theme. We are now expecting our 3rd baby and could not wait to book Arlene months in advance. Anyone that walks into our house is in awe of the amount of detail in each painting. She is an amazing artist and person as well! I have been to several local functions in the area where she has donated unbelievable works of art! From murals, to painting to cabinet refinishing, Arlene is 2nd to none!! She is one of the few vendors I use that I can hand my house key to and go away for a weekend and not have a worry in sight!! Highly recommend her!!!

I wanted a mural in my home...something eye-catching, creative, individual. I gave Arlene my thoughts and ideas, with some pictures..........and voila! She created my masterpiece! It could not have been more perfect....it was exactly what I pictured there. She was at my house after Hurricane Sandy doing anything and everything she could for me.....over and above the call of duty...that's Arlene. Once again, she made my home into a masterpiece. I loved walking into it every day. And it spiraled from there....I wanted more and more. Arlene's work is very addicting....once you start, you just can't stop. I have a bit of Arlene in most of my home....I still have a tad more to do. I cannot say enough about Arlene..........she is a true artist in every sense of the word and she beautifies each and everything she touches.

Arlene did a fantastic job. Clearly her work speaks for itself. As far as the business aspect, she is an excellent listener and understood what we wanted from step one. She worked within our needs, was efficient, cheerful, tidy, and clean. She provides a high value service. We plan on hiring her again and strongly recommend her.
