About Us

Atelier Jouvence Custom Stoneworks works closely with architects, interior designers, builders, and homeowners to create stunning, custom-designed stonework in a wide array of imported and domestic natural stone — all hand-carved by Master Stone Carver Olivier Dumont and his team of skilled artisans. We use only the finest quality natural limestone and marble to hand-carve our fireplaces, mantels, fountains, staircases, columns and capitals, range hoods, and more. Master carver Olivier Dumont is a native of Dijon, France, trained in traditional stone carving techniques by some of Europe’s top carvers. Atelier Jouvence, founded in 2000, is run by Olivier and his American-born partner, Sonia Dumont. Had an exceptional experience working with Atelier Jouvence and Sonia and Olivier. I feel so incredibly fortunate that this company is in Chicago. The craftsmanship and artisan quality of their designs and materials are remarkable. Olivier created 2 fireplaces in our home - one in Carrara marble and another in limestone. The ability to create a custom mantle with depth and dimension out of a thin slab of marble speaks to his long experience and refined technique. Communication was clear, deadlines were honored and the final products are exceptional.

We hired Atelier Jouvence to created a completely custom Kitchen Hood specific to our certain details. They created such a beautiful hood with such great detail, the photos do not do it justice! We highly recommend them to anyone needing an architectural piece hand carved. They're work is exquisite!

Atelier Jouvence did an extraordinary job on our fireplace. And they did it under some difficult circumstances. We had some builder issues on our house and despite a difficult deadline, Sonia (the President) and her brilliant, French stone artist husband, Olivier, finished a gorgeous fireplace that adds enormously to our home. They were a delight to work with. The fireplace was reasonably priced, and the two installers who brought it from Chicago to St. Louis could not have been more skilled, careful, and great to deal with. We can recommend Atelier Jouvence absolutely without reserve. We recommend them with enthusiasm. Thank you!
