We are award winning smart technology and bespoke lighting specialists. Based in Bath we've been making buildings smarter since 2013 with solutions for all aspects of home technology including intelligent lighting, shading, heating, security, audio visual, data, Wi-Fi and many more! Our award winning ‘Best integrated home’ from the CEDIA EMEA 2017 awards is a great example. We specialise in solutions that are discreet and integrate sensitively with your home environment and lifestyle. We are equally happy tackling minor work or full house renovation/build projects. Whether you need help installing a wireless network or are interested in a more complex home cinema or smart home integration, we are able to help you. We especially love working on indoor-outdoor designs to make your home light up for you when you arrive from work and work smart when you need it to be more than a place to sleep. If you are renovating, building a new home or just want to sort out the existing technology in your home we have the expertise needed. We typically provide a full end to end service from concept through to completion. A consultancy service is also available; for example, preparing tender documents for the home technology element of your build. We gave BrownHen a challenging brief when we needed them to complete work that had been started by another company. They needed to understand a half-built and undocumented system that used hardware which would not have been their first choice. They rose to that challenge and completed the whole-house lighting and audio installations. They also kitted out a cinema and integrated all the systems, including security, using a Control4 hub. Everything is now meticulously labelled and the job has been completed very tidily. There have been a few teething problems, but these are only to be expected, particularly in an installation with so many initial unknowns, and Dave and Jools have always swiftly risen to these challenges and sorted things out. Dave and Jools communicate technicalities well, set realistic expectations and have delivered on-time and on-budget. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering home automation in or around Bath.

Property Styling Company

I was recently commissioned to work on a photo shoot for BrownHen Solutions. My brief was to style their client's garden media room and patio, thus highlighting the sophisticated home technology package recently installed by them at the property. The client, had involved them at the very start of his design process which enabled BrownHen to incorporate all aspects of sound, vision and ambiance into the overall design scheme. As well as the more obvious large screen TV, at the simple touch of a button the mood can be changed to suit parties, events or intimate gatherings...beautiful outside lighting and subtle surround sound for summer parties on the patio, or underfloor heating and a cosy gas fire for evenings inside. It's quite difficult to style a room to showcase, for example 'a tv', but part of my job is to find out what the initial brief (to them) was and make it (hopefully) work from there. The total BrownHen package included far more 'bells and whistles' than I have mentioned, or even understood! However, BrownHen's elegant and unobtrusive solutions were incredibly impressive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jools and Dave if you are looking for professional, cutting edge, technology and expertise....which they can explain far better than I can!

As a bit of a technophobe myself, BrownHen have been helpful and patient. I even called on a Sunday and left a message and they called me back the same day! (really above and beyond). They have been methodical and were really efficient at sorting any little glitches from the very beginning. They kept to time and budget and kept us informed every step of the way. They offered helpful suggestions and gave us time to decide which solution suited us best. They have been professional, helpful and the whole experience has been a pleasant one - not like some of the horror stories you read!

I was unsure what was possible, what were the best materials to use and how I could supplement the reuse of my older media equipment to create a gym that would entertain me. BrownHen came to the rescue with their expertise and proposed a solution that met all my requirements including my budget. Throughout the project there was great communication including well judged clarifications and excellent questions to ensure they completely understood what I wanted and what I would consider a great result for the project. We worked closely with Brownhen Solutions on the installation of an automated sliding gate for a high end residential customer in Dorset. We fabricated the gate and undertook the electrical installation work, Brownhen set-up all the controls and integrated everything into the customer's Control 4 system. The project went very smoothly and the customer is very happy with the end result. Jools and Dave were great to work with and demonstrated excellent experience and knowledge as they overcame the various technical challenges that cropped up during the project. I would definitely recommend the services of Brownhen Solutions and would work with them again.
