Great job in redesigning an unusual staircase into a glorious entryway from our 2nd level to our 1st level. Also provided guidance in redesigning a 1st level family room & office into a single family room providing more living area. Wonderful job & I highly recommend Todd Carlson.

My husband and I loved our experience with Carlson Architecture. Todd Carlson designed a beautiful home which we continue to enjoy every day since it was completed. Todd was a dream to work with..He is a wonderful listener and knew how to to take our ideas and turn them into our dream home. He returns calls promptly - was very accessible - reasonably priced and very efficient. We highly recommend Carlson Architecture!!

Todd Carlson designed a kitchen addition for our 40 year old house. His creative design causes people to say, "I love your kitchen." They cannot even tell it is an addition because it connects seamlessly with the existing structure, but at the same time it looks completely modern, like something in Architectural Digest. It is state of the art, beautiful, and the envy of everyone on our street. He stayed with the project to make sure that everything was done correctly and did all of that on budget. If your hire Todd, we can be sure that you will not be disappointed.

Todd did a fantastic job working with us in creating plans for our addition project. He was responsive, creative and worked through the questions we had with class and professionalism. Todd was also very helpful during the construction process and worked closely with our builder to make sure everything was understood and done the right way.

Todd help our family design an addition to our house. We had a wonderful time of sitting down at the kitchen table with Todd and the builder, and he was exceptional at listening to us and discerning our needs and turning it in to something absolutely perfect for us. The addition included a family room, large pantry, and master bathroom. We were very pleased with the results and wouldn't hesitate to use him again and highly recommend him!

Carlson Architecture designed a sun room addition to our home using many pictures that were collected over several years. Todd was innovative in incorporating the ideas to a room that has become the focal point of our living spaces. He was great to work with and appreciated his willingness to tweak the plans when additional ideas surfaced.

We've worked with Todd on a couple of projects at our home, the most significant in 2005, a complete redo of our second floor with the addition of a master bedroom suite. Todd listened to our needs and provided us with some unique options to finish the space. We've received lots of complements about both the completed interior and exterior.

Todd Carlson Architecture designed the remodeling of our summer home in Michigan. Our home was over 75 years old and structured as a small one story cottage on cement block piers embedded in sand. Todd first completed the engineering to design the necessary support struct for a two story, 3 bedroom, two bath home. Design was completed for an enlarged kitchen, great room, converted garage fully insulated, heated, and spacious dwelling. To accomplish our goals the house including a brick fireplace had to be raised approximately 18 inches. Our home now functions year round with complete comfort and beautiful design. Todd was flexible in adopting our suggestions and required changes. We are very happy with his work and his accommodation of our desires. His treatment of our building activities was very professional and exceptionally creative.

Todd Carlson was awesome!! He was extremely professional and always very polite. We absolutely loved the work he did for our home in Deer Park. I felt his prices were quite fair and clearly stated prior to our contract being signed. I definitely will be telling my friends who are planning additions to their homes to use Carlson Architecture.

Todd Carlson exceeded our expectations with his ability to translate our vision onto paper. He was able to capture the beauty of the lake from every room, while maintaining the cozy home feel we were seeking. His idea to use exposed natural materials really compliments our surroundings. Working with Todd was an excellent experience from beginning to end.

Todd Carlson did a wonderful job of listening to what we envisioned for our porch project and even included some thoughts of his own that we ended up incorprating. Best of all - his projects are often reviewed by Palatine's inspectors and they are familiar with his work.
