There are some jobs you shouldn't take and this "Owner/Builder" job was one of them. This was a budget job from the beginning and despite utter disorganization by Andrew Olson we fulfilled the contract which was a glorified prewire. In the top picture you see a TV prewire that the client asked us last minute to wire and he was NOT charged for it. True to form you can see that he also forgot to tell the electrician to put power there...Very typical for this project. In the Second Picture you see a professionally organized Structured wiring panel with the Phone/Coax on the left side and the Security on the right side all wrapped to protect the wires. Above the Structured wiring panel, coming from the sloped-nosed hole is the Audio/Video wiring. The panel is empty because the client didn't want to pay for a Security system or anything else. In the bottom picture you see a stub-out for a Security Motion detector which is all the client paid for. If he had contracted for a security system it would have been trimmed with motion detector. Most of the trades for this project quit for non-payment but we had a signed contract which we fulfilled so we stuck around. This client tried to stiff us like he did most of the other trades but after the threat of small claims he paid enough of his balance due for us to write off the rest. Definitely a learning experience...
