About Us

While I tend to have a strong personal style, I relish collaborating with my clients. Each client has an idea of what they like and it is my job to help them realize their vision. As a professional designer I am constantly exposed to new products and ideas that I can bring to my clients' projects. As a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, my background is in painting, incorporating extensive color theory and design. My depth of knowledge makes the whole design process exciting and fun. While aesthetics are important, budget, timing, availability and consensus are all part of the mix. The full picture always needs to be considered so we can make the best choices. Whether it be avant garden or traditional, unique or classic, my goal is that my clients are truly delighted in their home. Feel free to reach out to me, I would love to hear from you!

Kris is a consummate professional, & it's an added bonus that her personality can handle the indecision of clients like myself. Kris' knowledge is extensive & her passion infectious, & she treats clients with the utmost respect regardless of the size of the project or the extent of their own knowledge. I originally hired Kris to assist me in re-covering dining room chairs only. I was so impressed with her sense of color & placement, that she ended up working with me on window treatments, painting colors for exterior & interiors & re-arrangement of furniture & artwork. Like any talented designer, she will expose you to things out of your comfort zone to expand your taste buds, but overall, she's honest & open & very accepting of one's ideas & boundaries. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to do any type of design work.

Kris did a fantastic job helping us on many redecorating projects: bedrooms, living room, dining room and tv room. She helped us pick out wallpaper, shades, rugs, lights, upholstery and paint. Her sense of color, texture and room layout is outstanding. She also helped us find contractors.

Kris redid our living room as well as our new back porch. She was terrific from the start, providing beautiful fabrics to choose from, and helping us decide on a coordinated color scheme. Kris helped us select the light fixtures, the wallpaper, and then custom made us beautiful window treatments. The bolster cushions she made for the back deck futon are my absolute favorite!

Kris has a great eye. I love her choices for fabrics, colors and overall design ideas. She sees the big picture in any room. She has overseen several dramatic makeovers in our home. She also sews the draperies and pillows herself and has great attention to detail. She is always looking for creative ways to make our home more beautiful.

We have used Kris as a resource for two major house projects. About ten years ago, she helped me pick paint colors for all the rooms in my house, and I still love them! Most recently, she worked as an adviser for our kitchen makeover. She ultimately saved us money, and at the same time, helped us settle on choices of floor rescuing and refinishing, granite choices, and paint choices that not only enhanced the quality of our 100-year old condo, but made it feel like home. We love it! She is a valuable resource in finding materials, and was able to save us much more than what we spent on her fee. She is also a lot of fun to work with.

Kris has a wonderful sense of style and is very easy to work with. Very resourceful whether you're looking to do a wall, a ceiling or a whole room. Keen eye for color and design in paint, fabric and wallcoverings. Very flexible, fair and fun to work with!

Kris has done several things for us– –all of them have turned out spectacularly. She did a complete renovation of our living room, Including paint wallpaper, windows and some furniture. She really listened to what we were interested in and brought lots of alternatives for us to consider. She arranged to have work done while we were away and carefully watched over the whole process. Kris is very well connected to the local community of suppliers and helped us find a great electrician. She stayed well within our budget and we couldn't have been more pleased with how things turned out. We recently completed our third major interior project in Brookline, and Kris has become our first choice for anything to do with interior design.

Among other things, Kris is an expert with color and fabric selection. I believe her background as a painter helped her to fine tune her craft as a designer. Over the past 8 years she's picked out all of the paint and wallpaper for my brownstone. She's also designed and made all of my window treatments. We are currently collaborating to finish up rooms that were never completed. It's a pleasure to work with her again.

Kris completed an impactful bathroom redo at the 2012 Junior League of Boston Show House in Newton, Ma. The black theme carried through all of the elements from top to bottom. I liked it and would hire her for a future project. She is very down to earth and a good communicator.
