Joe Santucci was fantastic to work with from the start of our project to the end---and beyond! He is knowledgeable, especially in understanding an older home and what possibilities there are, as well as the challenges we could face. He guided us through the decision-making process and kept us informed along the way. He also stands behind the "make the customer happy" motto. We had a few things happen after the project was completed. Joe took care of them and made sure we were still happy customers!

Professional, courtesy, timely. Took time to us to pick out countertops, cabinets, sinks, flooring, etc. Advised us the ups and downs of each product if necessary. His team is very good, everything went according to schedule. Even did small repairs at no charge. Great job.

Easy to work with, did a great job. Some minor issues with the cabinets - the installers were not the best, but other sub-contractors filled in and finished the job correctly. Not the least expensive estimate we received, but worth the few extra $$.

If we could rate this contractor 6-stars, we would. There were several areas where Joe and his team stood out. First, at the beginning of our project (which was a kitchen redesign and additional structural/cosmetic changes to our main floor), Joe was a voice of reason and realism. As we first contemplated this project, our sense of cost was not realistic. Joe provided us with an initial design and estimate, which immediately level set our expectations. Helping us develop our final design and budget, he outlined and detailed key tradeoffs we could make to best normalize our cost to the target range. Second, Joe worked closely with us to develop the work schedule with goal of minimizing disruption to our daily lives. His team stuck to that schedule and Joe met with us regularly (multiple times a week) to provide updates, ask clarifying questions, and talk about any issues that might have cropped up. We had a few minor issues emerge when his team started to break down our original kitchen that were ... unexpected. Joe and his team dealt with these hurdles pragmatically, detailing some alternative solutions and work arounds that fit our budget. Third, during our selection of appliances, fixtures, tile, flooring, countertop, cabinets, and other key decisions, Joe was very hands-on and came with us to make final design choices. What we most appreciated was his objectivity around these discussions, never pushing us to his choice but informing us to make the decision that was best for us. Fourth, Joe and his team (including subcontractors) performed exceptionally. It was very high quality work and his subcontractors interacted seamlessly throughout the process. Fifth, the work done our house was completed ahead of schedule and we could not be happier with the results. The best summary statement we can make about Joe and his team is they are customer-oriented - open, communicative, honest, professional, responsive, and deliver very high quality work that exceeded our expectations.

I have used Mr Santucci for numerous projects. I never could have been more pleased with his and his teams work. He is the ultimate professional, attentive to detail, has competitive costs, listens to the customer yet provides excellent ideas and recommendations. I was fortunate enough to have Joe handle projects, large and small, on my 1910 house on Capitol Hill. This included adding a garage where none existed, enlarging a deck, redoing a bathroom and taking out walls to enlarge my dining room. He was professional, on time and on-budget, personable and had incredibly great people working with him. Dealing with an old house that has lots of quirks requires imagination and patience - both of what he excels at. I am planning new projects in the coming year and will definitely ask Joe to complete them.

My husband and I hired Construction Solutions for a kitchen renovation this past Spring. Joe Santucci is very easy to work with. We changed our mind on some things along the way and Joe was always flexible and accommodating. We liked his "can do" approach where other companies said "can't do." His sub contractors are great. Very respectful and highly skilled. He's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend Construction Solutions.

Bottom line up front: Outstanding job. Joe and his team exceeded expectations by bringing the project in ahead of schedule, on budget and with superb quality. The job: Employment of all trades (framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, floors, painting and tile work) to create an eat-in area in the kitchen from what was an adjacent bathroom; relocate a guest room bath from an outside wall to an interior wall to serve dual purpose as a powder room and guest bath; and plumb the basement for a full bath and wet bar. Background: It is important to understand I'm an enthusiastic DIYer. I've built custom built-ins, installed French doors, added shear walls, hung and finished drywall, rebuilt a master bath from studs up, etc. I take my time to ensure every project is done well and I pay attention to detail. Why didn't I tackle this project on my own? Because 2-1/2 baths would be taken offline at the same time and there was a firm six-week window to complete the project within (planned summer vacation for the wife and kids). Though I knew I would have to hire a contractor, I didn't plan to compromise on the quality of work to be delivered and the need to meet the deadline. Review: Thankfully, Joe Santucci and his team were up to the challenge. Joe came by the house to assess what the project would entail. He took his time to understand what I wanted out of the project and to find a way to separate the project into two stages--1) completing the 1st floor kitchen eat-in area and guest bath within the six week window and 2) setting the stage for DIY completion of a full bath and wet bar in the finished basement. Since the first floor and basement baths would share drain pipes and venting, quite a bit of planning would be required. During a couple of in-house design sessions, Joe’s architect listened to my wife and I describe what we'd like (often different opinions), find solutions we could both agree on and quickly sketch out the planned result. With e-mail follow-ups, we were able to lock in a detailed design for the 1st floor kitchen/bath as well as a floor plan for the basement. Now having the benefit of hindsight, I must say I'm impressed with their ability to create a floor plan that flows well and makes the space feel larger than it is. With the design complete, Joe developed and executed a detailed project schedule with extreme attention to detail. EVERY trade was expertly executed by craftsmen who clearly have pride in their work. The project completed on schedule and budget! None of the traditional remodel horror stories were experienced on this job. Challenges were dealt with swiftly, without complaint and without additional cost. Even the traditional mess was kept mostly at bay due to a couple of contractor-sponsored maid visits and routine cleaning by the crew. No remodel is ever easy, but I can say without doubt Joe and his crew did everything in their power to pull this one off without a hitch, exceeding my expectations on quality and finishing almost a week ahead of schedule.

My husband and I give our highest recommendation to Joe Santucci and Construction Solutions. Joe is fair, honest and 100% reliable. He has high quality standards and works with the utmost integrity. We had a pretty big project on a tight budget that would take 3 months (we had to move out) and involve at least a hundred different kinds of workers. Not only did Joe get the job done beautifully, but he FINISHED TWO WEEKS EARLY AND STAYED 100% ON BUDGET. It was amazing, especially when we ran into delays with the county and surprise complications. His commitment to communication is unparalleled. He met with us weekly or biweekly to go over the last week's progress and review what was next. He also insisted with the subcontractors that payment not be completed for work until it passed inspection by the county. An accountability detail that gave us comfort. He also was really good at finding ways to keep costs down and presenting trade-offs for us to decide upon. Joe is a pro at managing complex projects and complex people with grace. We joke about him being a Type A personality, but that's exactly what you want in a construction manager or general contractor! He kept the project on time by fluidly moving schedules around as needed to keep things moving at all times. On top of everything else, he is also a really pleasant, calm person with a kind and gentle personality who is also assertive, in command and professional - I think that's why he's so successful with clients and subcontractors alike. To give a few more details, we put a second story on our house and transformed the main floor by turning our small sun room into a dining room, opening up the living room and widening the hallway. We knew our work would require some creative thinking about design and wanted guidance instead of someone who would just do whatever we wanted (we knew what we wanted but weren’t sure the best way to get there). We had interviewed three architects in the high, medium and low price range and weren't particularly impressed with any of them. We found Joe and Construction Solutions through a strong recommendation from our neighbor who had a tree fall through her house. When we talked with Joe by phone, he rightly said he'd come for a consultation with an architect he often partnered with (Michael Griegg, 3GArchitects - a highly skilled architect). Upon meeting them, we could tell they were the type of high caliber, creative, budget-minded partners we were looking for. They work separately but partner together really well. Joe is fair and affordable, budget-conscious, definitely the most reliable, a stickler for quality where it matters most, and a genuinely nice person you won't mind spending lots of time with. We couldn't give him a higher or stronger recommendation.

Constuction Solutions remodeled our kitchen for us. Liked time Joe spent with us looking for flooring materials. Very much appreciated the detailed information we were given on each phase of the destruction and reconstruction. Once the process started we were out of the country and received daily photos of how work was progressing which we loved. Finished product is great.

Kitchen was completely gutted and rebuilt. We were out of country for 1st 2 weeks but received almost daily photos of work done. Things went smoothly for east of installations when we got home. Love new kitchen and it functions well also.
