Bill Curtis and Russell Windham are Houston's top classical architects. My husband and I hired them 15 years ago to design our house in Houston, and I couldn't recommend them more highly. A pleasure to work with, they are knowledgeable, meticulous, and exacting. They understand proportion and scale, and have a a gift for creating detailed homes with character and a sense of history .They understand how people want to live today, but create houses that look like they are masterpieces of a past era. Their homes are thoughtfully sited, and are beautiful and harmonious both inside and out.. I have since worked with them professionally on several projects and continue to sing their praises.

I have done a number of jobs with Curtis and Windham. Their drawings are complete, very detailed and well organized. Their designs are impeccable. Proportions are held strong and their details are many times subtle but sophisticated. They are always available for questions and site visits. Curtis and Windham is on my short list of architects I would recommend.

They are amazing at designing the perfect house you are looking for and your landscape. They respond to your phone calls immediately. I really enjoyed working with them. In the past year I've only worked with them on helping me design the landscape I needed for a 1925 French Home in Houston and design gutters for this house, which it never had. This house is very unique and they were able to do an amazing job on providing my contractors with the right drawings and working with them hand-in-hand. In 2006, they were the ones that were able to take this old French House and update its landscape, add a pool house, herb garden, and add numerous additions to the house. To this day people believe that the addition was not part of this house when it was build originally in 1925. I would recommend this company and in my opinion they are the best in Houston.
