Challenge: Design and coordinate the building of an addition to our Bud Highland home such that when it is complete, nobody will be able to tell the difference between Highland's work in 1953 and the new construction...from roof lines to brick and mortar color, interior and exterior trims, replicate the windows...in short, if you succeed it will all look exactly as if it was all build 70 years ago. Aaron was patient, attentive to even the smallest details, worked flawlessly with the builder and the result is exactly what we were absolutely set on having! And, it was fun...

We really enjoyed working with Aaron. He helped us redesign our historic townhouse, which included removing the back stairs, a full gut renovation of the kitchen, relocating the downstairs bath, along with changes to our jack and jill bath, laundry room, and linen closet on the 2nd level. His proposed layout was thoughtful in design and showed he was listening to our requests. Aaron provided precise measurements of our space, catching significant errors in as-built drawings from an architect we had engaged prior to discovering Aaron. Aaron was highly responsive and he was quick to address any changes we requested.

We needed a larger kitchen and a first floor master suite. Aaron designed a seamless transition from the original home (built in 1936) to the addition- it is difficult to discern the old from the new. We previously engaged 3 other designers, however Aaron was the only one who was able to turn our vision into reality. He is very attentive to detail and incorporated existing architectural elements into the design. Aaron worked closely with the builder during the construction process to ensure that the finished product was functional and aesthetically pleasing. We highly recommend his services and would hire him again in the future.

It was my pleasure to work with Aaron Olson for the design and renovation (currently underway) of my home. In my opinion, his knowledge and thoroughness are truly outstanding and second to none. Aaron's ability to listen and truly hear his client's wishes/wants/concerns and to incorporate them into a plan is a great strength for a designer.
