Fenestra Design

Fenestra has designed three of our homes. One from the ground up, floor tiles to furniture, curtains, paint, cabinets. Two others from move in and update materials and wall coverings for new feel.

When hiring a designer, I've always felt the most important aspect of our work together is that we DO work together. We're a team. For me, that means that the designer has to be a good listener as well as possess the skill and ability to implement the requested aspects of the overall project. From the moment she walked in the door, Pat was listening. All the various particles were fitted efficiently. Our work together was a delight.

We love working with Pat and we’ve hired her a handful of times. She’s wonderful to work with. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, I’ll see her again soon for another project.

I have worked with Pat for over 25 years on multiple home and remodeling projects. Pat is very good at understanding your style, how to bring good design to your project, and mindful of financial components. She is really enjoyable to work with as she works not only well with you as the customer but also with contractors, architects and vendors. I highly recommend Pat.

Pat has an amazing eye for color...whether paint, fabric, rugs, she can coordinate it all. The other wonderful thing about working with Pat, is that she is so responsive and quick to find samples and move the project along. Our project was a complete refresh of our interior, not a remodel. Just an update to make us feel like we had a new house!

My husband and I began updating our kitchen with new countertops and expanding some of the cabinetry. However, I was lost when trying to come up with a backsplash. Pat of Fenestra Design came over to look at the kitchen, gave to me several samples of tile to try, along with a beautiful accent tile design above our stove. Pat was responsive and so easy to work with. We are in love with our kitchen and backsplash. I highly recommend Fenestra Design.

We moved to Seattle from a lifetime in California, downsizing from our family home to an apartment. Pat was very easy to work with and had the ability to understand what we wanted and produce it, thereby creating spaces that felt like ours, only better. She is a color master as well as being a magician at fitting our belongings into a new space beautifully. Pat realized we wanted something fun for our craft room, something that celebrates rain, and she found this rain chandelier. She also had the cabinet shown hand designed and painted for our big walk in closet, as we requested. She did all our window treatments and overcame the challenge of tilt and turn windows where our sheers had to be attached to glass that opens inwards. We totally redid our kitchen and one bathroom, where the challenge was to fit an MTI stream bath into a small space. Every room has been improved by Pat. We could not be more pleased with her!

Pat has helped me with my home over a period of 14 years. First, when we were designing a home to be built, she worked with the architect on room layout and flow, as well as some fixture selections. For various reasons, we abandoned that project and bought an existing home. She helped me redecorate (paint, window coverings, some new furniture) and later on helped with two remodels (partial remodel of the kitchen, and the reconfiguration of a bonus room to add a bedroom.) Pat is always easy to work with, very responsive, and has an especially good eye for color and fabric textures. I've been thrilled with the result on everything she's done. Most recently, she chose paint colors for a redecorating project on the main floor (kitchen cabinets and walls throughout.)

Pat with Fenestra has done a few different design projects for my wife and I, including some major remodel work on our 1983 home that was done in the 2000's. The quality of advice and work has always been stellar. Pat Quigley is a true artist. The date on this project shows 2019, which is our most recent consultation, however the largest projects that Pat did for us were in the 2000's, helping us choose materials and design for a remodel of some bathrooms over 15 years ago, and paint and carpets throughout. It is a testament to her design sense that our master bath still looks reasonably current! Our most recent consultation was in regard to floor plans for a home we are building. Pat gave us excellent feedback and suggested some changes that we have incorporated into our final floor plans. Highly Recommended

Working with Pat Quigley was a pleasure. The task was remodeling a very plain and very dated unit in a retirement community. The challenges included working with the management which had strict rules regarding vendor access, etc. She coordinated things beautifully. She was brilliant when it came to putting together my choice of a color palette. I wanted rich, deep, Mediterranean shades -- not an easy or traditional palette to pull off. In addition she knew how to get a great contractor on board and she knew where to go to get everything from quality built-ins to attractive lamps. She was also terrific when it came to communicating with me, the client. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Pat has been helping my family, and extended family, decorate, choose paint colors, and redesign rooms during remodeling for many years. She is excellent at what she does and has become a family friend in the process. No matter if your budget or need is small or large, she will help you find what you need and successfully get done whatever your project is. She has a skilled eye and years of experience.

I first met Pat Quigley when I enrolled in her interior design class at a local university. After completing the class, I immediately hired her to review the plans for a custom home my husband and I were designing. Pat is absolutely phenomenal; she was able to translate my relatively loose guidance/requirements into furniture, paint, carpets and accessories, *all* of which blew me away. In my case the most recent home design accompanied a remodel and Pat provided so much good input into the remodel, and so many valuable suggestions, that I have her principally to thank for the way it turned out. I have now worked with Pat on three different homes – all quite different – over 15 years. helped She is able to adapt her designs to the client’s aesthetic, and to the bones of the structure, and every outcome is unique and special. Quite apart from her skill and professionalism, Pat is a wonderful human being who is an absolute joy to be around. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

We asked Pat to help us transition our furniture from our previous home to our new home, when the styles were vastly different. She did an amazing job of integrating things, updating where needed, all while making it still look and feel like my home, not hers (something I have struggled with with other designers). Additionally, she connected us to services and professionals a homeowner might need when moving into a new area. I hope to continue to work with Pat as updating projects pop up here and there!

Pat is very professional and an excellent designer. I have worked with Pat on multiple projects over the past 20 years. She is creative, with great attention to detail. Pat is a very genuine person which makes working with her a real pleasure.
