We based our whole kitchen/living room remodel on our FoldUp window! We live in Cleveland and it was really hard to find a window that would be fully sealed from Northeast winters -- and this completely does. It joins our kitchen with an outdoor bar top/stools and is by far the #1 impressive feature that guests always comment on. The quality is wonderful, the people were great to work with, and we would definitely do it all over again. I think our pictures (and turquoise island!) are featured on their residential FoldUp website - take a look, you'll be SOLD.

We are very pleased to have found Fold Up Window company. We had a special historic bar renovation that had a need for a product like this. I spent several months looking for just the right window unit that would work like this. I have been in the window business for over 35 years and have sold a lot of different windows and doors. We needed this to be spot on, it had to have the quality and operation in a bar environment, it also had to meet a lot of historic specifications. These units exceeded all of our expectations, and we are pleased to now be a dealer for them.

We love all of our new kitchen windows from HeartWood, but especially the FoldUp windows. They look fantastic and make passing to the exterior grill and bar super easy. Sorry for lack of a really good picture when open. All of my good open pics have people in them.

DCP Architecture

It is not uncommon to have projects that need to straddle the tasks of responding to historic context and bringing current, contemporary identity. FoldUp windows have proven to be an instrumental option for achieving this, pairing the image of a double hung with the functionality of a newer window type that brings a larger open area. Commented: ManufacturerHeartWood is a custom window and doors manufacturer in Rochester, NY and made this door. This door cost about $11,500 plus tax & freight in 2009. 111" tall, made of solid Honduran mahogany, 2-1/4"...
