From our first meeting with Mike & Nick we felt that we were working with a knowledgeable, experienced and capable team who could turning our dream pool into a reality. They really listened to our needs, and their design greatly improved on our original concepts. Nick - an outstanding Project Manager supported by an expert team - kept us fully informed of progress and made schedule adjustments pain-free. Our pool was completed on budget and on time, and we really enjoyed participating in the transformation of our back yard. It was a real pleasure to have Nick and the Genesis Pool & Spa team provide us with exceptional service and a fabulous pool!

Genesis' quote was competitive but it was Nick Flores and his honest demeanor that made us choose Genesis pools. Nick Flores was attentive, diligent in his follow up and very easy to work with. He was always available to come by whenever we had questions or needed him to stop by during the project. He has a great team of people who are very good at what they do. Nick was amenable to last minute changes and did not nickle and dime when it came to doing unforeseen things beyond what was in the contract. We have good memories of our pool building project and hence enjoy our pool that much more.

We were referred to Mike Moris and Genesis Pools from a friend of ours. We contacted Mike, set an appointment and gave him an idea of what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend. He came back with computer generated images of the pool and hardscape that far exceeded our expectations and a proposal that was within our budget. He even changed the placement of the pool to maximize the usable space in our yard. We asked him how long the project would take. He estimated 3 months. We thought it would take much longer because we were putting in a pool with a slide cut into the hillside, hardscape, sprinklers and a new lawn. But sure enough, they started the project in April and were done in early July. Everyone loves the pool except our pool guy. He says we are using it too much and he cannot keep enough chlorine in it. I would recommend Mike and his crew (especially Benjamin) to anyone looking to put in a pool. Benjamin even helped pick out many of the colors for the stone surrounding the pool. He has great taste. Genesis pools was a great team to work with. They completed all projects on time, and some earlier. When I had questions, Nick and his team responded quickly and thoroughly.

Genesis Pools and Spas was one of six Pool Contractors that I gotten written estimates from. Some were much higher and one or two were just too low (in fact one, that wanted my deposit right away went bankrupt). Not only did I get a decent price for the work, there were absolutely no hidden fees or change orders that resulted in a higher price. One of the things that impressed me about Nick Flores of Genesis Pools was his knowledge of swimming pool construction, his can do attitude and his ability to transform our simple ideas into a beautiful reality. He was the only one that told me that I did not have to knock a section of my block wall down, rather they used a small bobcat that fit through my 4' gate to dig the entire pool area. The various crews that he uses were all on time and completed my pool and deck in 3 months! The best part about Genesis Pools is after the pool was built, was that when a couple small problems arose his guys were out the very next day. Where are you going to find that kind of service these days? Genesis Pools and Spas, that's where. I would recommend them to anyone contemplating a swimming pool and have, in fat, recommended them several times since the pool was finished.

Genesis did such a great job on our pool. They went above and beyond often doing super thoughtful little things that made the pool very special from upgrading the tile, to adding a love seat and demo'ing some ugly concrete for me. I love these guys and would recommend them to anyone. They are reasonably priced, very responsive and do great work.

Genesis pools and the contractors that Mike Moris and Nick Flores hired installed a new pool, with grotto, in my backyard along with an outdoor kitchen, new patio cover, multiple fire and water features, benches, walls and landscaping. It was a big job and they came highly recommended from multiple colleagues at Amgen. The final product is awesome, as my wife and I could not be more happy with our new backyard. We have spent more time in our newly remodeled backyard in two weeks this spring then we did all of last year. It's hard to get me indoors now!!! The work was very high quality with our neighbors now declaring that we have the nicest pool in Lynnmere (our neighborhood). Importantly, Mike, Nick and the contractors were all very pleasant to deal with, always had our best interests in mind and completed the job within the time and at the cost they had quoted us. Even after the job was completed and paid for, they still drop by to make periodic improvements and have done so without my requests. These are the types of contractors you want to work with and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

We recently renovated our backyard and hired Genesis Pools and Spas to do the design and construction. The renovation included a new covered area built off of the house, an island with a BBQ, refrigerator and sink, a fire pit, two bench areas, new tiles around our pool and spa, and brand new hardscape and landscaping. The end result came in on budget, on time, and exceeded our expectations. The new backyard has completely changed the way we enjoy our home (expanding the usable area significantly). Nick was the primary person we worked with on this project. He did a great job taking our wish list and creating a design that achieved what we wanted but also was within our budget. He was professional and always listened to what our needs were. Further, when we presented difficult issues he consistently came up with creative solutions. Nick's team was very courteous and was also capable of dealing with issues on site when Nick wasn't there.

We hired Genesis Pools to build a new pool in our backyard. They designed a pool to fit within the space maximizing area and setbacks. Their bid was similar to others and we decided on them after several positive recommendations from friends. We made the right choice. Mike and Nick were professional throughout the process. There were no hidden costs. We did upgrade a few items but change orders were given at competitive costs. I recommend Genesis for any pool or outdoor work. Happy swimming in our pool after just a few months.

When my husband and I decided that we wanted to build a pool in our backyard, I began interviewing pool contractors and getting quotes. 8 companies later, I was still not satisfied with anyone. I then found Genesis Pools, and was so happy I waited! I whole-heartedly give them 5/5 stars. 1. Design: We have a very tricky backyard. We have a large, steep hill that runs the length of the yard. All previous contractors were afraid to cut into the hill, which is exactly where we wanted to build the pool! Nick came in and created a 3-D design that showed us exactly where he could put the pool - he made the most of the hill and created our hot-tub on the upper part of the pool, thus cutting into exactly where we wanted! He pushed back the existing hill more than 50%, adding a retaining wall. He made the most of the retaining wall by adding built-in seating. We thought we would only be able to put in a small pool, but through Nick's design we were able to get a standard sized pool, hot tub, built in BBQ with bar seating, and a fire pit! The design was unbelievable. And quite frankly, the bid for construction cost that Nick gave us was very reasonable given everything we were getting. 2. Construction Phase: Any construction project is bound to be stressful on the homeowner. This was not the case with Genesis Pools. Nick is an excellent project manager. He lined up all of the crews ahead of time, they knew exactly what they were supposed to be doing, they cleaned up after themselves each day, and were extremely professional. Any time I had a doubt or a question about how the construction was progressing, I would call Nick and he would always tell me he already had it taken care of. He was a step ahead of us, versus the other way around! I have never had that experience with a contractor. He helped us through each step by giving us suggestions for colors, stones, tiles, etc, and then we worked to chose everything together. 3. After Completion: Our project turned out better than we had envisioned. Nick knew what would look best for our yard, and we worked with him to complete a project above our expectations. We have been done with our yard construction for a few months now - a few weeks ago an electrical outlet cover popped off. I couldn't get it back on, so I texted Nick. He came over that evening and replaced it for us for free. Most contractors disappear when they are done, but not Nick. He is extremely reliable and trustworthy. I have since recommended him to 3 co-workers for their complete backyard remodels, and they have all chosen to use him! Using Genesis Pools was the best decision we have made for our home!

Mike and Nick (our project manager) from Genesis Pool and Spa designed and delivered a well built pool together with decking and a bit of landscaping on time and within the agreed budget. Two things really made them stood out from the other offers: firstly, their design took into account that the ground of the existing garden was not level. They came up with a very elegant solution to integrate the new pool into the existing groundwork. Secondly, they managed to arrange all the equipment far away from the pool, allowing us to enjoy the spa without the noise of the pump. This meant additional construction cost, but every time we are in the pool we value this. The project execution was flawless. They coordinated the work of the various subcontractors very well and managed to integrate small changes here or there quickly in the ongoing work. With large projects, this is not an easy task to do and we certainly appreciated this. Looking at the final result, they delivered everything as agreed, even down to the little details. This really earned them our praise. We would not hesitate to work with them on another pool project.

As a Landscape Designer, I have worked on several projects with Genesis Pools and Spas the last few years. I have nothing but praise for their knowledge, professionalism, and wonderful rapport with the homeowner. Their work is beautifully crafted, and keep as close to completion date as possible. I hired Genesis Pools and Spas to build my pool back in 2011. I was extremely happy with the quality of their work and how they kept to their original timeline and cost estimate. The design process was great as they used a computer to render the design of my backyard which made it easy to make changes as you saw a 3-D layout of your designs. The project was managed in a superb way by Nick Flores who treated it as if it were his house. He was very attentive to my concerns and was very meticulous in the details. If I ever build a pool again, I would hire them in a heartbeat!!!
