Gray Matter Concrete Design

It's hard to imagine anyone being a genius with concrete, but John Czinczoll is. John has provided polished concrete floors on a couple of our projects and I had him polish the floors at my own house. Everyone stops at the front door and is blown away by the floors!

Not only was John timely, respectful, and efficient, he was creative and provided good design ideas. My husband and I were renovating our kitchen and we had not idea what we were doing. John walked us through every step of the process. I would recommend him to anyone looking to re-model or update an old look.

I initially became aware of Gray Matter concrete design when I was interested in custom concrete countertops back in 2004. A good friend who loved the work he did on his counter tops referred me saying John at Gray Matter was absolutely THE GUY to go to for custom concrete work. I couldn't have been more pleased with the referral - after a conversation with John about my needs he was clearly knowledgeable, skilled, and passionate. Best of all he worked with my ideas and was extremely helpful as part of the design phase of the project. One of my ideas wouldn't have been functional, and John was able to suggest a better way to get the same effect using a more different approach. He didn't outsource the work either, he was there through the design and planning all the way to putting the finishing touches work to ensure it was perfect. Five stars.

John and his team transformed my living room with a beautifully designed Venetian plaster fireplace with a concrete hearth. John was able to sense my style and conceive and execute against a design that made my house more modern and upscale. He was on time, on budget and open to feedback throughout the process. The orange fireplace is the before picture. I will update the after photo when I install my sconces.
