We hired Chris Torres with GTA Services to construct a small bathroom in our basement in November of 2016. It was supposed to be a 2-3 month project. We finally fired him 9 months later. The entire project was fraught with poor communication and subpar work. Essentially every step of the project had to be redone due to poor or incorrect workmanship. For example, the wrong size toiled was roughed in, drain pipes were cemented in while the pipes were sticking out five inches into the air, and the drywall had to be ripped out and redone because no one checked what was required for inspection in our county. What has given us the most grief is the framing. Damian, the framer, did not build the walls to the dimensions on the plans, nor were they straight or plumb. Repairs were made, but we were left with walls that were still not great. Chris assured us this would get corrected later and that it could be fixed with shims. It never was. All of the big trouble we had finishing the bathroom post GTA and all of the odd little things about it now stem from the shoddy framing. If we had the funds, the best thing would have been to tear it all out and start over. When we voiced our concerns about the work being done, Chris barely acknowledged or even ignored them. We had multiple plumbers and electricians and most inspections did not pass the first time. We never knew when or if someone was going to work on our house. Later we learned that at least one of the subcontractors was not properly paid. Working with GTA was certainly a learning experience, and one that we have deeply regretted. This not a company we would ever recommend.

Began a master bath complete remodel in early March 2017. Job was completed 6 weeks later and looked good, so we paid in full. Next day the shower leaked into the office below. GTA never fixed the problem. Usually ignores our calls and texts and even threatened a harassment suit if we continued contacting them. Now we are paying thousands of dollars to a new contractor to remedy the various issues that have shown up with our new bathroom. Do not hire this company or any of his new companies.

I would recommend GTA Services for home improvements, additions, or remodeling projects. They are professional and easy to work with. I do recommend that you discuss your project with Chris in detail to make sure you both are on the same page. Great company to work with. I will hire again for other projects in the future.

My family and I have great things to say about GTA Services. Our expectations were high and they were met each step of the way. The folks at GTA are professional.
