Fleurscape Gardens

Fleurscape is owned and run by Malena Stratton.Malena Stratton Fleurscape Malena has gained a number of qualifications over the last 10 years, these include, Plants and Planting Design, 3 dimensional design and studied at the University of Hertfordshire for 2 years. During this time she maintained and enhanced several gardens. Malena completed with high merits in 3 Dimensional Diploma at West Herts Art College, where she had the opportunity to work a variety of mixed media for both outside as well as in, and was fortunate to work with London based, Scottish Artist, David Mach, who works with many forms . After a spell of working in the private education sector, where she introduced new and exciting materials to the Design and Technology dept at one of the top preparatory schools in Hertfordshire. She went on to the University of Hertfordshire and completed two years of the BA Honours Degree in Applied Arts. She extended her planting knowledge at Oaklands Horticultural College, in St. Albans, there gaining her City & Guilds Level II in Plants and Planting Design. Further workshops have been enjoyed including those held at The English Garden School. From her childhood, Malena developed a rural love for plants and was inspired by her German born Mother to grow perennials en masse, in drifts and with movement, colour and structure as the backbone to every garden. She experimented with growing many varieties and forms and learnt from a young age the love, joy and potential for plants.
