At the age of 13, Anna Hardy, In Home Design Center's owner and designer, took a side chair and repainted it, removed the caning and reupholstered the seat. Transforming this chair launched a passion and a career in transforming furniture and rejuvenating spaces. For the next 30 years as an artist and designer, she has been dedicated to re-imagining, reinventing and “re-finding” pieces.

Our interior design philosophy is simple: Good interior design starts with good bones. A coat of lip gloss won’t fix the problems that are best solved with a commitment to healthy living, eating well and exercise. So it is with our interior design philosophy. We believe that good design starts from the ground up. We are committed to an understanding of construction, building arts and solid foundations. Anna’s designs are thorough and enduring, and start with the best possible beginning before adding her unique aesthetics. Anna has a wonderful team of contractors and a kitchen designer working with her to turn her extraordinary visions into a reality.
In Home Design Center is also, notably, a local resource for other interior designers. We offer appointment times for designers to come in and meet with clients in a personal, but professional, environment. Together, designers and clients can browse our carefully chosen vendors, products, upholstery and drapery samples and so much more without the bother of interruptions from a typical showroom floor.
