Jeff helped us update our laundry room. He drew up plans and came up with estimates. He brought in subcontractors to do the work and acted as the intermediary whenever we had question or concerns about cost or quality. We are very happy with the final result.

Jeff managed a complex remodel of our home: 4 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room. He was impeccably honest and managed his reliable crew of subcontractors well. He was able to propose creative solutions to challenges we encountered. I would absolutely hire him again for a remodel or new build.

If you have stumbled upon this review, then you are most likely doing the same thing I did. Scrolling through Houzz and day dreaming of the possibilities. Wondering if these amazing homes are even real or if they are simply models to sell the products inside. Well I can tell you from experience that you can have everything you see on Houzz.... IQ Custom Homes has completed a truly one of a kind home for my family. I began my process of building a custom home by researching local builders. Emailing them as an introduction and then later going on tours of model homes where all of the upgrades were on full display. I sat down and essentially interviewed all of them to see which was the best. While the people were kind and professional, I still felt like I was dealing with sales people who would be happy to tell me whatever I needed to hear to move me forward. I sent emails and never heard back. Then I stumbled upon IQ Custom homes. My email that was sent as an introduction was quickly replied to with a lengthy description of what I could expect and suggestions for next steps to move forward. I had more than a handful of questions and IQ Custom homes patiently answered all of them. At the time, I had not yet purchased the property that I was going to build on. I wanted to be 110% sure that my house could be placed on that lot. (Including utilities, etc.) Without me signing one single piece of paper, without me paying one cent of money, IQ Custom homes arranged for all of the necessary people (plumbers, electricians, soil survey, county people) to come out and give me confidence in the property. With such confidence, I purchased the property and quickly began working with IQ Custom Homes to design my home. I got to sit down with the architect who was designing my custom floor plan. Moving walls, doors, changing configurations, it was amazing. When it came time to pick out the items to go in the house, I was able to pick anything I wanted. Not just "Choose one of these three", as is the experience at other large custom home builders. The actual construction of our home went exceptionally well. From start (a thick forest) to finish, it took a speedy 6 months. There was never a day when there wasn't at least 1 crew, if not more, working on my home. It never sat dormant. One of the biggest benefits of working with IQ Custom homes was the constant communication. I was able to ask questions and express concerns and get answers in a very short amount of time. Most times, instantly. I've heard from friends that built with other large builders before me that they had no idea about the final product until they were handed the keys. Then they had a large list of things to go and sort out after moving in. Because of how involved I was able to be with IQ Custom Homes, I had zero surprises. After living in the house for a few weeks, I believe we had 2 door adjustments and a spot of touch up paint. That was it. Its now been 6 months since we moved in and we couldn't be happier. If I were ever to build again, I would choose IQ Custom Homes in a heart beat and I would encourage you to do the same.

My husband & I decided to hire Jeff Decker of IQ Custom Homes to build our own custom home due to the relationship I have with Jeff as a Professional Interior Designer (I own Transformed Interiors) as I knew he would provide the best service and a quality built home! My expectations were MORE than exceeded! He did a wonderful job managing all the subcontractors and timelines! He answered every question we had and took care of (a few) mistakes graciously. All of the subcontractors involved were professional and welcomed my involvement as a professional Interior Designer! Our home is absolutely gorgeous & we are beyond thrilled with Jeff! I HIGHLY recommend him & I will continue to refer him to my own clients as his integrity & attention to detail closely match my own!

We love our newly built IQ Custom Home! Our 2,800+ sq. ft. walk-out project was a collaborative effort between the IQ construction management team and ourselves from the initial design concept to the final walk-through, and is one of a kind! The end result was a beautiful and structurally sound house that we are proud to call home. Jeff Decker was willing to address all concerns and was persistent in finding viable solutions to them. We have been tremendously pleased with his follow-up both during and after the build, and have greatly appreciated his continued helpfulness in answering questions, providing information, and bringing back sub-contractors when needed even now that we have assumed residence. I find that kind of character, follow-through, and willingness to stand behind ones work product refreshing!
