We were so fortunate to have Lisa working with us on our home renovation project. She is a true listener who internalizes the spirit of the project and the feel for the people living in the space and what their needs might be. We went through so many different designs of our kitchen and bathrooms and she really wanted to get it right for us, to get us to a result that we loved. She also had great, innovative ideas that transformed our spaces. Lisa is a team player who worked well with all of the service providers on the project including our contractor. She monitored progress and intervened tactfully when needed. Lisa was also invaluable in guiding us with sourcing materials, fixtures, tile, furniture, etc. She has a great sense of visual and tactile flow and with the overwhelming variety out there, she was so helpful in narrowing the choices. Happy to send pics of project upon request, just not able to post right now.

Lara Shortall

While working on a renovation of the attic of our home, I hired Lisa to make recommendations for the structure of the space, which was to become both a bedroom for our teenage son and a storage space for our family. Lisa met with me and our contractor on-site, and she quickly made recommendations for handling the structure of our 90-year-old home in order to make it suitable for the purpose we intended. She also made some creative suggestions to help bring more natural light into the space. Following our meeting, she prepared a set of architectural drawings and reviewed her recommendations with a structural engineer, just to be certain that everything would go smoothly and meet our needs. Lisa was very professional, a pleasure to work with and very efficient. I would definitely hire her for another project, and I highly recommend her for other residential projects.

Lisa Gilbert redesigned our house and her thoughtfulness and creativity lives with us every day. Lisa spent time to learn what was important to us, evaluated our needs and observed how we use our space. We spent considerable time re-designing the space based upon prioritizing various needs. Lisa brought creative ideas as well as practicality to the endeavor. Lisa met with the building department before applying for permits to understand what issues might need to be worked through. This way, when the plans were filed, permits could be pulled immediately. During construction, Lisa supervised the job to ensure quality of workmanship and adherence to the plans and specs and she had a strong relationship with the general contractor and his sub-contractors.

Lisa Gilbert, LPG Architect, managed our extensive home renovation in 2014-2015. She helped design new bathrooms and was extremely helpful in picking out fixtures, paint colors, etc. Lisa managed our contractor and all other subs involved in the work. She is very attentive to detail, has great follow up, is a great listener, and is overall a joy to work with. She was also very accessible and flexible with our schedules. We would highly recommend Lisa.

Lisa Gilbert, LPG Architect, performed two jobs for us. In 2008, she designed a porch and mudroom. In 2013, she designed a two-story addition that included a new master bedroom suite and kitchen, and a reconfiguration of existing space. In connection with the latter project, Lisa also represented us before the zoning board for a small variance. We found Lisa very professional and accommodating of our schedules. She initially presented us with multiple ideas and was detail oriented in the design process. The result is fantastic. She considered important drainage/water issues that were important for the design and we could not be more pleased with the space. We highly recommend Lisa.
