Services provided overall by Mr. Mario Mendieta and his staff was quite fine. Mr. Mario Mendieta from the beginning was professional, timely, and provided the service at a reasonable cost. However, I have to give a rating of two stars for the lack of professionalism, disrespect, and dishonesty towards the final stages of his work. Before the signing of the contact I expressed my concerns to Mr. Mendieta about not being surprised with any additional cost on top of what my family and I agreed to at signing. He assured me that it would NOT go any higher and that the most important thing is to purchase of the materials to avoid fluctuations of prices of these materials and that the remaining cost goes towards labor. Towards the completion of the work by Mendieta Roofing, he and his staff DID NOT initially pass the final inspection by the City of West Palm Beach. Mr. Mendieta showed up to my family's home, unexpectedly, demanding that I tell the City of West Palm Beach that I am not interested in installing this final item on my roof. Of course this raised concern to me on how unethical and ridiculous it was on doing such of thing and told him that if the law requires him to do such task , then please move forward in fulfilling that responsibility. Mr. Mendieta than became VERY upset and began to raise his voice constantly stating "you don't understand,you don't understand" after complaining about not wanting to do that he than demanded that we pay an additional $800 on top of the thousands of dollars we had already agreed to pay. After several deliberations directly with the City of West Palm Beach, I called in the assigned inspectors and invited Mr. Mendieta to meet us at my home to clarify what was going on. Mr. Mendieta refused on several times to speak with the City inspectors and I, and demanded that I tell the City what to do given that it was my house. It came to my attention that Mr. Mendieta's staff did not originally comply with the City's rules and regulations, and confirmed that is was absurd for him to demand a payment of $800 for a service where the materials cost $12.00 and takes no more than 15 minutes to complete. After Mr. Mendieta finally complied to meet with us. The City of WPB showed him, in the States of Florida's Rules and Regulations Manuel where this was required. Mr. Mendieta eventually complied and completed the work and received the remaining payment without charging us the additional $800. To this day Mr. Mendeita has not returned bringing the remaining closing documents after promising he would bring it on several occasions, claiming that he came (when he did not), and finally stating that he is to busy to bring these final documents. I am highly displeased with the ethics, integrity, and character of Mendeita Roofing Corp. I encourage those who plan to hire this company to strongly consider what I have said and the comments from other customers. We payed every single cent to only be played and now not of any importance to Mr. Mario Mendieta and his company. We were civil throughout the process and truly did not appreciate Mr. Mario Mendieta's rude and demeaning attitude. Mr. Mendieta may have portrayed his company to be professionals but when it comes to following rules, regulations and common decency with the City and customers, it is absolutely atrocious.
