About Us

We focus on the quality custom building of homes and commercial projects. We maintain a crew of 18-20 expert carpenters on staff who can handle all types of projects. Our team prides itself on our 45+ years of outstanding craftsmanship and customer service (We often tell our clients proudly that we have seen just about every possible configuration and can handle any challenge an architect throws at us.). Our goal is to end up as close to perfection as is humanly possible, with the intention of giving our clients more than their dollar back in the quality of their home. Our philosophy has always been simple: Give every client, big or small, the best help and the best service possible. It’s why we work on projects ranging from large scale grand homes, to smaller projects like dog houses and even fixing the occasional screen door. It’s our belief that the person that needs a small fix today may need a new home tomorrow. Most importantly, we believe that building a home does not have to be a nightmare (It can actually be an adventure). It’s why we always aim to remain friends with all our clients even after the project is complete.

Fabrication and installation of custom black walnut bar and cabinets with sink and low voltage L E D lighting. They beautifully matched the existing pine panelling finish to make the bar appear to have been there for years. Elliot and Pohls are very easy to work with and do exceptional work.

I worked with Mike Elliott for a few years doing various residential and commercial remodel projects. He's a great team player, and willing to bend over backwards to keep a job on track. He's very personable, and clients found it easy to work with him. He understands the importance of communication on a project, and was always on site to make sure his quality standards were met.

Living room and kitchen demo of wall and vaulting ceiling. The team was extremely professional and allowed a good degree of flexibility; working with my schedule and the city permit. Work was completed in the time proposed, within the budget discussed and signed off by the inspector the first time during each stage. Highly recommend

My experience with Mike Elliott was nothing short of absolute professional. Communication is key in this industry and Mike communicated at the highest level from the first when reviewing client selections, measurements, estimating and then job completion. I met Sue and Erling Pohls over 20 years ago, through my friend of many years, Jim Elliott. Sue, Erling and Jim have worked together for many years in the contruction business here in the Santa Ynez Valley and neighboring communities. They have have worked on projects, both large and small for myself and my husband. There is nothing they can’t do professionally and in a timely manner. They recently completely remodeled my home and I can’t tell you how happy I am with the finished product. They use only the best subcontractors and they are respected by their clients and employees. I might add that some of employees have been with them since I met them. I am proud to say that are my friends.
