MLB is a small design firm with work ranging from furniture to houses and small commercial projects. Each project, each site, each client is unique and we capture those forces to create custom environments unlike any other. When it comes to residential work, a home is where you spend the majority of your life, it should be one-of-a-kind and be more than purely functional but fulfilling. Owner, Michael Loverich, was born and raised on Bainbridge Island where his blood runs as strong as the PNW rain. Michael is a graduate of the University of Washington and UCLA. He has worked for firms such as Tom Kuniholm, Reiser + Umemoto and Snohetta. At the same time he operated his own company, The Bittertang Farm, which specializes in testing the limits and boundaries of architecture through tactility, sensations and material effects. Having over 10 years of residential experience and 5 years of cultural architectural experience he has a varied background to pull from.
