We built our dream cottage near the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Bob transformed a construction site into a beautiful landscape with a berm and both flowering and evergreen trees, bushes, and ground cover. He worked closely with me, the builder and the landscaper to blend it into the rustic mountain look of the cottage and surrounding native plants. He was involved in not only the design but was hands-on in making sure the implementation went smoothly. He’s since helped us with some additional plantings to further enhance the property. Our cottage is at a bend in the main drive and we frequently get compliments on how great it looks. Bob’s services are very reasonably priced, and he is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him!

Bob assisted us in developing a landscaping plan for our vacation rental in the Valle Crucis area during 2018. We have utilized the services provided by landscape architect, Bob Oelberg, for the landscape design for two homes that we had built in the mountains. Bob’s use of native plants and trees lends a more natural appearance to the landscape. He is a good listener and works well with the client’s preferences. Our landscape plan was tweeked a few times to allow use of plant materials that I wanted to incorporate into the plan. Working with Bob was effortless and a pleasurable experience. He work very well with the landscaper who implements/ installs the design and hardscape as well as with the excavating contractor when retention or boulder walls are incorporated into the landscape design. From design through execution he assumes responsibility for the project, easing the burden of the homeowner. We highly recommend Mr. Oelberg as he is a professional of highest integrity and expertise.

Bob was the perfect person for the landscape design project at our condo complex. We had very specific requirements including low maintenance, native species, and color throughout the seasons. Bob additionally took into account the differing availability of sun at each building and came up with a beautiful design that met every one of our requirements and that worked for each of our buildings.
