Studio Paula Arntzen

Studio Arntzen is a design studio specialized in lighting design for the domestic and the public space. After her Master in Design at the Royal College of Art in London, the studio is now based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Innovatively she mixes craft, design and a delicate use of technology as communicative components of wonder. Key to Arntzen design philosophy is her stylistic research through experimentation with materials and techniques to create experiences with their own distinctive theatrical identity. Her lights are part of the collection of the American company Artecnica and sold worldwide. Installations are found in several public spaces & events like Arnhem Fashion Biennale, Fashion & Design hotel Modez / Restaurant Rozet among others. Transformation and colour-based projects have recently become an important factor in Arntzen her design process. She is fascinated by the magic of transformation and the raw material of light. She likes to develop dynamic products, concepts, interiors and installations for the public space that creates an instant feeling by influencing their atmosphere.
