If you are looking for a company that takes your money and drags the entire project out then this is your guy. He turned a project that we were excited about into a 11 month nightmare. (Was supposed to be completed in 3-4 months). Beware of the contract and the draws. He will take 80 percent of your money and walk for 10+ weeks with little to no work done. He backed out of services and ultimately did not finish the punch list of items. We understand that things may come up in construction projects, but even when he had a chance to turn it around he didn’t. It’s safe to say that this guy won’t be in business for to much longer at the rate he is going. His subs even had trouble getting paid. Take my advice and find another contractor!!

We do fully apologize for this project taking longer then expected. The homeowners were very nice and we were always in contact throughout the entire project. They were accommodating and hospitable to everyone onsite throughout the job. We have fully finished this project and passed all building inspections onsite. The only thing that was left to punch out was installing the screens in the windows; which are onsite and just pop in. And they asked about pointing up some concrete work that was chipped in order to get their garage door track installed on slab and a seam on the entry side entrance door. Upon sending the customer the final contract breakdown after final inspections for final payment they still owe based on final contract payment, allowance overages, additional work completed, and credits owed to them on work adjustments. They responded with full disagreement and that they were not paying me anything and if we disagreed they would file a bad review. We did not respond back to argue and were uncertain of how to proceed due to the fact that they actually do still owe money for work completed. And before we could respond they filed this review against Pickett's Choice Builders. All work onsite has been completed, all materials and labor pertaining to the project have been fully paid. No one is owed money as they stated. Even though this project did not end on good terms; we wish nothing but the best for the West family and hope that they have put their new detached garage to good use.

Chris and his team put an addition on our home a few years ago. At first glance, it looks beautiful but as you look closer the quality is poor. After only 4 years, our roof is already leaking, the siding is falling off and the interior doors do not shut. Worst part is we’ve contacted Chris multiple times with no response. Updated 3/17/23: Since my last review, Chris has personally followed up on the issues we were having and insured that he would get them resolved. Chris is always friendly and understanding.

We have kept in contact with this family sense completing their home addition and garage. We fully completed their punch list and have been back to do a point up and paint out for them as well. They have had us recently come back out to quote them on building a detached garage/ home office. Great customers; would definitely work with them and their family again.

We contracted Pickett's Choice over 6 other contractors who bid the job on our 2 story addition. Thanks to Chris's input, we managed to match the theme of the main house by adding dormers. Everyone who worked on the project respected our property and had a great attitude and work ethic. We began this 30ft x 36ft project in January of 2017, and they did everything to meet projected deadlines and within the budget.

We had a total gut and remodel of our master bathroom. Plumbing and electrical had to be moved to enlarge the layout for a walk-in-shower. The crew was super, professional and worked hard every day until the job was completed. We also had a rebuild of 2/3 of a shed. We had just had a new roof put on our shed (by a roofing company) when we discovered the walls of 2/3 of our shed were rotted. Chris and his crew took the shed apart and rebuilt it for us. They also built a ramp for the mower which we did not have before. The shed turned out great. After a wind storm some of our siding came loose on the upper part of the house. I called Chris and he sent 2 guys over right away to fix it for us. These were 3 separate times we used Pickett's Choice and every time they were right there for us. We really like the crew.

Bathroom redo is great. Taking out the tub was the right decision in this bathroom. Justin did a fantastic job on all the tile work, radiant floor heating, and the million other details in creating this beautiful new room. We always enjoy having this crew of guys in our home. The work is top of the line and we have never had to have a call back.
