Found Richlind Architects on Angie's list and called him after reading his strong reviews. After my wife and I met Rich Chuk, we were very comfortable with him. We did an extremely large home renovation which required a number of issues with our village. Rich dealt with all obstacles thrown his way, came up with designs for renovation that stayed within our budget and fit our design scheme. If your looking for an easy to work with, creative and budget conscious architect, do yourself a favor and contact Richlind. We will for sure use Richlind for future projects.

Richlind did a great job. Richard Chuk provided us with several design ideas, from simple to complex. He worked closely with us to ensure that we were happy with the final design and that it would meet our budget. He visited the site, took comprehensive notes and planned a deck that would work well in the allotted space. Once we selected a design, Richard drew up plans, which were accepted by the village for permit with no hitches. In addition to the plans, Richard did extensive research for building materials and made several recommendations. All in all the experience was excellent, the deck was built and everything passed final inspection. I found Rich's approach professional and thorough, and his designs were creative yet functional.

Rich measured up and designed an incredible and usable layout for my unfinished basement. My space is smaller than most and he was able to come up with two, very creative and different designs that would maximize every square foot transforming it into valuable and comfortable living space for my family. His knowledge and expertise on the matter also brought to light many factors I need to consider when building that I would have never known about without his professional insight. I can tell that he is very passionate about his work and takes it very seriously. I highly recommend Rich for your next architectural design project! His knowledge and attention to every detail is second-to-none.

I was looking for an architect to draw up plans for an addition to our home. I was unhappy with the contractor’s architect we used when we originally built our home. We only met him once, he did not explain anything and once building was finished there were obvious flaws that should have been brought to our attention during the planning, like the fact that the master bedroom was going to lose so much space we can barely fit a queen size bed in it. Richland Architects went over our plans and explained things that should be different and why, which we would never have realized and would have made us unhappy in the end. After discussing these things and making the changes a few times we had the drawings for a perfect addition to our home. He also offered to be available when the addition is being built to periodically look over the job, most of the contractors I've dealt with in the past like to cut corners. I've found that having an architect that works for me not the builder/contractor is the best way to go. He was very professional; his drawings were very detailed (I've had no problems getting bids from contractors off his drawings). He also met with us at different times and days as my wife's and my schedule are crazy at times. I strongly recommend Mr. Chuk from Richlind Architects & will never use another contractors architect again.

Rich designed a completely new roof rafter & ceiling system to replace our leaking and waterlogged one. Right before drywalling, the Village inspector decided they needed complete floor plans for the house because we had to replace more things than we had originally planned. Rich very professionally came in to measure the house and had the permit drawings back to me in only four working days so that the project could proceed. I would highly recommend Richlind to anyone needing architectural services. I will use him in the future as well.
