This entire process has been one of the worst business experiences of my life. 1.When I called for installation, the phone agent confirmed that ALL pieces had been delivered. 2.At the installation, the installer said that we were missing a piece...one of the blinds came in two pieces and that's why there were 7 boxes and there should have been 8. Apparently the phone agent should have known this before setting up the appointment. 3.The installer was an hour late for my appointment which I only found out by calling S&N after my work lunch hour was up and no one had showed. Turns out he was running an hour late but didn't call. 4.The installer had so many issues putting the blinds up that after 2 hours he finally had to call his supervisor for help. He left and his supervisor who was due in 90 minutes showed up 4 hours later. The supervisor was at my house another two hours putting up the blinds Installer #1 couldn't do (more about him later) and trying to fix the crooked, defective blind. He couldn't fix it and a new blind was reordered. 5.Someone from customer service called me to set up another date for installation for the missing and defective blinds. Obviously my experience so far had not been good, and I was told that they were very happy to refund me a 50% discount on the installation to make up for all this issues. By my calculation that is about $58 which on an almost $5,000 order I found to be insulting. She said she'd wait to see how the rest of the install went before confirming some kind of compensation as I wasn't happy with the $58. 6.Installer #1 shows up again on 5/23 to install missing blind and defective blind. Installer #1 doesn't know what he's doing and had to call his supervisor AGAIN to come help him. He was closer this time and came over promptly although of course my work lunch hour was once again compromised to 2 hours. I sat outside my room listening to the Supervisor TRAIN the installer. Seriously? Installer #1 did not know that he has to allow for 5/8" more than whatever the vertical measurement is for carpet and to avoid dragging. Seriously...this wasn't covered in training?? Supervisor finally gets the blind installed correctly and the defective blind is successfully replaced. Meanwhile I have scratches across new painted window frames top and bottom due to the installation struggles. 7.Installer #1 boxes up the defect blind and leaves the long, heavy box across my living room floor and tells me that someone will call me with instructions on how to get it prepped for shipping and pick-up. After 9 days I had to contact Shannon yet again to come and get it. When I asked customer service why they hadn't circled back with me after the 2nd installation, I was told "sorry...nothing is going according to plan." So maybe this company is going out of business. 8.Then, while opening the new blinds in our guest room, the entire blind slipped out of the top holding thing. We tried to put it back but it's obvious that the chord mount at the top was not installed correctly (by Installer #1) and is now completely broken. We have our first guest staying his week and there is now a blanket over the window. the blinds lasted less than 10 days. 9. No communication about the replacement blind. Still waiting.

Shannon was very knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect combination of shades, accent curtains and wood blinds for our entire home. Everything turned our wonderfully!

I had a wonderful experience working with Shannon to choose window treatments for my new home. She is very friendly and patient. She knew exactly what would work best for my windows and helped me select options that I wouldn't have chosen myself. She knows her stuff! The shades and cornices that I ordered with her guidance look perfect in my home! They really make the rooms look polished. I had such a great experience working with Shannon on my living and dining rooms that I asked her to come back to help select window treatments for two bedrooms. In addition to helping us pick out fabrics and styles for the shades and drapes, she also offered tips on wall colors and bedding. I can't wait to see how these rooms come together. If they are anything like my living and dining rooms, they will be beautiful! I would absolutely recommend working with Shannon!

Shannon is amazing to work with and I am so happy with how my window treatments turned out. She is very patient and took the time to go through all the fabrics and different color/functionality options while offering her design expertise. Shannon didn't just do the initial consultation, she followed up after my order was placed and even came over during install to make sure the window treatments were installed properly and that I was happy with everything. I'm so lucky that she was available to my area and I have recommended her to all of my friends and family. Shannon and Smith and Noble exceeded my expectations!

I highly recommend Shannon if you need any style of window coverings for your home. She is both professional and very knowledgable and she has many creative solutions for addressing any situation. I worked with Shannon over a year ago and made sure to request her help when I decided to find solutions for more windows in my home recently. She has sophisticated taste and always considers what's practical too. She has a great attitude, always shows up at our scheduled time and she is great with follow-through too.
