Excellent experience with Rooftight! From start to finish we have been very impressed with the quality, professionalism and communication. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new build!

While this is our fifth house purchase, it is our first new construction. Over the years we had always tossed around the idea of owning a new house, however the dream typically derailed due to the overwhelming nature of the process or just simply breakdown/lack of communication between ourselves and the builder(s) we spoke with. That entirely changed the day we first met part of the Rooftight team. We sold our previous house on short notice and were scrambling looking for options; on a total whim we decided to walk in a beautiful model home on Bramwell Crt on a Saturday afternoon, where we were greeted by Michelle and Chris for the first time. Right from the onset Michelle and Chris answered all of our questions no matter how trivial they were, while getting to know us at the same time. We left the first encounter feeling positive about the time spent with Rooftight, but really felt a new home might not be in our future. To my surprise, the following day Michelle actually followed up with me to see how our house shopping journey was going…we have had several builders tell us they would “follow up” BUT this was the first time anyone actually had! Through the course of a few more meetings, the Rooftight team continued to answer EVERY.SINGLE.QUESTION we had…and there were LOTS. Through this communication, Rooftight started to educate us on the fact that a new home was very much possible and during the course of communication the original feelings of anxiety actually began to get replaced by thoughts of enjoyment and excitement. This only happened because Rooftight invested time in us to truly walk us through the process one step at a time. The process driven approach, complete transparency and endless attention to detail is exactly why Rooftight exceeded our every expectation and made the home building journey a truly enjoyable one that we cannot say enough good about. It speaks volumes about a company such as Rooftight when after the business of buying a home is complete, you now consider them friends as well!

We started our journey with Rooftight over a year now, when we made the decision to move and build our family home. I must admit, we were a little apprehensive when we decided to build again due to some poor decisions we had made previously.. However, from the first conversation we had with Scott, and the first consultation with Michelle we were blown away by their knowledgeable, honest, caring approach to building a home. We immediately felt comfortable trusting the team at Rooftight to build our home. As mentioned, were a bit nervous starting the process,, however, those nerves were quickly put at ease and the process quickly became seamless. Scott, Brandon, and Michelle took the time to guide us through each phase of building and designing our home by answering countless questions.. Michelle has an amazing ability to get to know the clients sense of style, like / dislikes, and provide recommendations and guidance that results in a beautiful stunning home. I don’t know if I have met anyone who cares more about the customer than Brandon,, as the completion of our home neared, we had the pleasure of dealing with Brandon more frequently to help put all the final pieces together. There was no task too big, no task too small.. Brandon was there answering phone calls, and txts within seconds.. Despite our best efforts, on our final walk-through we couldn’t find one deficiency!!.. largely due to Brandon’s countless efforts. So here we are at the end of it all.. We started this journey with Rooftight with a call from Scott expressing how much he wanted to build our home,, and we are so glad he made that call. We wake up every day loving our home. We truly couldn’t be happier. We'd been in almost every model home of basically all the builders in the city, and there was always something that we were unhappy with, whether it was a shoddy paint job, a lack of custom options, or just simply not liking the 'vibe' of the builder. Just picking finishes on our last home was an absolute nightmare, so I knew that we needed to be very thorough in our search - once we'd seen the Rooftight model and talked to Michelle and Scott that we found the people we were looking for to build our dream home! They were there to walk us through every step of the process, no detail was too small for them - I had a million questions about every last detail and they were so patient and helpful with everything. Everyone from the entire Rooftight team was extremely accessible and very quick to reply to questions etc the whole way through (and even now, 6 months after we've moved in). The site was SO CLEAN at all times and the few minor issues we had were quickly fixed as soon as we brought it up (and they were not the fault of Rooftight). The quality of their work is incredible, they really pay attention to detail and nothing is overlooked or considered too minor to worry about. We were given prices for each and every upgrade that we requested, and there were no surprises about costs along the way - I tracked everything in a spreadsheet and the final overages matched to the cent. We had worried about how busy they were with all the new houses in the neighborhood and if we'd make it in time for our closing date, Jimmy assured us that we'd be fine, and it was :) We couldn't be happier with our new home and are so happy that we chose Rooftight - it was such a smooth process from beginning to end that we were able to enjoy the process and not stress over every detail wondering if they'd do it right, we knew they'd take care of us! We love our new home!

Rooftight built our home in 2016 and we couldn't be any happier with the quality of their work. Building a custom home can prove challenging, however, Rooftight has perfected their process and made building enjoyable and stress free! At our initial meeting, we went over plans and found one that fit within our vision. Working with Michelle during the selection process was a pleasure. Michelle provided wonderful suggestions that further enhanced the beauty of our home. The insight that she has is impeccable. Chris exhibited nothing but utmost professionalism while working the build out process of our home. I was blown away by Chris's attention to detail and his creative ideas when certain items needed to be modified to stay within our design plan. Rooftight has an eye for making your home look and feel unique by adding design elements that add a lot of character to your home. This is the type of uniqueness and high service approach that I think likely sets Rooftight apart from many other custom home builders. Scott has truly mastered custom home building and has built a team around him that are not only knowledgeable in their fields but passionate and skilled in what they do. There are so many pieces to building and so many people involved in the process. I just wanted to say thank you to all of those people involved in every aspect of our home build. We couldn't have asked for a better builder for our first newly built home. Rooftight answered all our questions, guided us through the process, and their best asset is Michelle, their in-house designer. Having a qualified designer help you make the tough choices with regard to cabinetry, flooring, lighting, and other design decisions makes the whole process is far less stressful than normal. I would highly recommend Rooftight to anyone who wishes to find a new builder or build a home for the first time.

In 2016 I sold my home of 16 years and found myself looking for new home with a very short deadline. Honestly I was very nervous at first because Id left a very beautiful custom built home and wondered if I could find something that Id be happy with, without much of my own design input. After viewing numerous homes for sale, I walked into a Rooftight open house, (of the home I eventually purchased), and immediately knew it was the one for me. Since moving in, whoever comes into my home, without fail, remarks that there is a certain sense of "calm". This is exactly how I felt when I first walked in. The attention to details, colors, types & size of windows, lighting, textures, flow of the rooms, all contribute to the livability and peacefulness in this home. Notably, "details" are very important to this builder, which give the home a "custom" and contemporary feel, to which Michelle Reid can be given much credit. It is obvious that having this added design research has made a difference in the types/quality of homes Rooftight builds. Even down to the size of the very generous deck - not sure I would have noticed initially but certainly after living here now through a summer, it was very important - and something most other builders don't do, as evidenced by most of the homes around me. One gets a sense that building high quality, beautiful homes is Scott Smith's personal objective, not just a marketing spin. Working with Scott Smith and Michelle Reid has been has been an excellent experience, both through the purchase negotiation and closing. They are very professional, very accessible and follow up consistently on questions/requests. Often "after sale" issues can be frustrating to deal with, but I would not hesitate to say that any issue (normal with a new home) I have encountered, even a small detail like changing an inaccessible light bulb, has been dealt with in a respectable time frame and by competent and professional trades. We're still mid project with Rooftight but so far everything is going smoothly. Getting to know Scott, Michelle, and Chris was easy right from the start. Scott considered our love of nature when having the lot cleared and putting in the driveway, allowing us plenty of trees and privacy. Choosing the finishings with Michelle was a positive experience, she is a talented designer who considers and supports her clients tastes. The build is moving along quickly and I'm excited to see how it all turns out.
