Stone and Cottonwood

Kevin just installed an incredibly beautiful piece of art in my home - a 100+ Year old black walnut mantle. His installation was precise and secure. His sculpting of the log is nothing short of breathtaking. We have also commissioned him to create a butcher block counter and some shelving. Can't wait to see those! Kevin is a true professional and he doesn't disappoint!

Kevin and Boris created a dining table room table for us that is beyond beautiful. We wanted to use a locally sourced piece of wood and together, we designed a family heirloom. The table is a functional piece of art that we love. It is made from a slab of black walnut and the base is a sculpture that Boris created with our ideas and feedback. Kevin and Boris were great to work with and I would highly recommend this company. We can't say enough kind words about our experience!

I searched high and low for a unique table maker and am glad to have found one within 30 miles. I am an artist and am quite picky with aesthetics and design. We decided to hire Kevin to make a table for our dining room. I went to his warehouse, picked out my piece and Kevin lead my along the way. It was a really fun experience and without a doubt, Kevin knows his stuff. The table is so beautiful. I wanted it to be as unique as possible and though Kevin asked me a lot of questions as far how I wanted the products to be finished, I chose to let him drive and do whatever he thought would be best. We love the table and it's a piece of conversation for everyone who walks in to our house.

Using a reclaimed silver maple, Kevin was able to create a beautiful piece that fits perfectly into our remolded kitchen. His craftsmanship and attention to detail was outstanding. We will definitely be using him again for future projects.

Stone and cottonwood has made several pieces for our home. I came across Kevin when looking for a six seater table to make guest more comfortable at our home. My husband wanted to break the cycle of buying furniture we would just have to send to the landfill in a few years. I wanted to shop local, but everywhere I turned even my local shops were importing things from the other side of the world. Stone and cottonwood is as eco friendly as you can get! He uses local trees that reached their demise for reasons other then being of further use to us. Kevin seizes them up before all that beautiful wood is wasted. So far we have purched a desk with seat, toy box, and a beautiful six seater table. The table displayed here labeled as ash and walnut is our table. The way it works is Kevin gives you the option of picking out your own wood to make it really your own. So that table allows me to feel a sense of pride because I picked it, I designed it! We always receive compliments on the stuff we have gotten from stone and cottonwood. And every piece comes with its own story. The desk we got came from a maple that served as a multigenerational tree house! Every piece has a story, every piece is a family heirloom. The price he charges is very reasonable for the quality.

Kevin's work is meticulous, original, inspired, and made with obvious care and thought. His pieces are works of art, even a simple cutting board. He is dedicated to making quality pieces that are special and he works with his clients to create the piece they desire, as well as creations of his own design.
