Sonny worked on repairing my two fireplaces about 8 years ago. He’s an artist in my opinion. He was able to find close brick matches for my older fireplaces and blended them in seamlessly. He’s got a great personality and he’s very professional on the job. He kept a tidy work area and completed in a timely manner.

Kept changing work date. Changed scope of job halfway through...suddenly what I asked for couldn't be done. Wrong color stone, but couldn't wait for correct stone because other contractors where already scheduled for the next phase. Retaining wall is failing, now. He wants to charge for the repair.

I have used Szotak and Sons for 4 jobs over the last 2 years at my home and rental property. I have been very happy with their work and highly recommend them. They are easy to work with on projects that require changes as work is done such as retaining walls when digging uncovers obstacles to the original plan.

We had our indoor fireplace refaced with a thin stone veneer as well as fabricating and installing a flagstone mantle and hearth stone. Sonny Szotak & team were complete professionals in every way and we are extremely happy with the end results. I highly recommend using them for any mason work and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again if we have a need.

The level of professionalism and the quality of work was AMAZING! He has redone the bath in my parents home, built them a beck mailbox, put in a brick enclosure, and poured a patio and walkways at their home. Sonny, the owner, was so easy to work with, had wonderful ideas, and really knew his stuff. I just purchased a new home, and I have already emailed him about a new set of concrete steps in the from and back of my home, laying pavers for a "mock" patio (zoning code restrictions), retiling my master bath, and sealing a small crack in the foundation. His masonry and tile work is simply beautiful.
