Ward + Blake designed and managed the construction of our AMan home in Jackson, Wyoming. It is a clean modern-rustic home that is beautiful and understated....just what we asked them to create. My husband and I had a positive experience with the firm and call them friends.

We hired Mitch Blake of Ward+Blake Architects to design and oversee construction of our home in Alta, Wyoming. We provided Mitch with our basic needs, aesthetic preferences and financial constraints. He did a marvelous job of fully meeting our needs while fitting the house into the unique lot in a way that both captures the lovely views and remains respectful of the landscape. Mitch also closely monitored the construction process and communicated with us in a timely and efficient manner. Mitch has a unique sense for how structures can become part of the Teton landscape and provide inhabitants with an enriching living experience. We recommend Mitch and Ward+Blake highly.

Ward+Blake were our dedicated architects, designers, partners, friends, therapists through an amazing three plus year build project of what we think is one of the most beautiful mountain homes ever built ! Our home is a large 13,000 square foot complex, nestled on top of a butte, in an exceptional but challenging location in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is a contemporary design with very classic bones. There is extensive fenestration, endless views, an enormous amount of wood, stone and bronze detail in the design. Our architects were also very thoughtful in bringing sound ecological thought into the design with sod roofs, complex insulation and geothermal heating. Given our specific desires, much consideration had to be given to great design, exceptional and durable materials, precision build, extreme climatic conditions and of course, changing owner specifications. Just to complicate matters, our architects built our home while we were residing in London. We owe them much gratitude for their creation. Happy Homeowners, Jackson Hole, Wyoming

We had a very pleasant experience designing and building a mountain modern home in western Wyoming. Ward & Blake’s local experience and aesthetic sensibilities gave us the modern home we wanted that fit both the landscape and the “look and feel” of the community. The whole project was done remotely and Ward & Blake oversaw the construction. The project was done on time and on budget. I would highly recommend this firm.

Personally, Mitch Blake, of Ward-Blake Architects, Jackson, WY is modestly down to earth, honest, timely and very pleasant to work with. As an architect, he and his team provide exemplary services, utilizing state of the art technology, providing detailed and attractive graphics, enhanced by his creative style. I had a rough concept in mind for development, interviewed three firms; and was fortunate to have chosen Ward-Blake. I worked with Mitch and his partner Tom over a two year period where he directed his staff's performance from concept plan through entitlement for a 400,000 square foot Mixed-Use Commercial development in Teton Valley. It conformed exactly with the New Urbanism, Smart Growth avenues that the City hoped for in the Urban Renewal District site. Mitch coordinated the process with a landscape architect, engineer, builder and other consultants, whereby 300 Main Driggs evolved into a pedestrian friendly, vibrant, sub-community which won accolades with unanimous approval through each step of the Planning Department approval process. My partners and I look forward to joining hands again with Mitch throughout the phased development process.

I would definitely use Ward+Blake again. They designed a house for us in Jackson, WY that was a little edgy at the time, using some non-traditional but Western materials and influences. Both Mitch Blake and Tom Ward, and their team, have an amazing ability to listen and remember what you say about design elements, and these comments would come up months later in design discussions. They are interested, and willing, to push the envelope but have also designed some very high quality more traditional mountain setting residences.
