The people were very thoughtful and the finished product is great. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends! Two thumbs up!

Nope - we used them for a large project and they were awful to work with and they did a mediocre job at best. Colors didn't even match existing surfaces. Won't use them again and can't recommend them to anyone.

We are currently still in the process of a major home remodeling project. I met the Willco team at the Portland Home & Remodeling Show at the Expo Center last spring and was impressed with them immediately. I continue to be very impressed with their professionalism, approachability, and especially the quality of their work. They are some of the nicest people I have ever worked with, and at the same time efficient and skilled at what they do! I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

This summer we hired Willco to paint our small bungalow, which had some new siding, and a new accessory dwelling unit. We made it clear to Randy, the estimator, that we would need the nail holes in the siding and soffits filled, and he gave us a fixed bid that included this work plus time and materials for a dry rot repair on one window.
We were told that we would be put on the schedule "in a couple of weeks." After a month with no word from the company, we emailed and were again told we'd be put on the schedule in a week or two. This happened at least twice. Nearly two months after we signed the contract, we got a call informing us the painters would be there the following day. We got less than 24 hours notice, which was particularly inconvenient since we had scheduled landscapers to come, given the fact we had no idea when painting would start and we couldn't put all our plans on hold.
Despite the fact that the contract stipulated filling basic holes and we even confirmed this by email both with Lucas, the project manager, and Randy, we discovered after the second coat that the painters did not do this work. When we brought this up to Lucas, he said that work wasn't covered and we would be charged time and materials if we wanted it done. This entire exchange with Lucas happened via text--he did not respond to our request to resolve the issue over the phone. We ended up spending the weekend filling nail holes ourselves so we could get the third coat on before the weather started to turn.
The carpentry work was another red flag. No one at Willco seemed to remember that this was part of the contract, despite the fact it was there in writing, and although we were told the carpenter would show up on the first day, he didn't come until a few days later. He was accompanied by a "lead carpenter," for whose time we were charged. We were present to instruct the carpenter on what we wanted, so it is unclear why a supervisor was necessary to tell him what to do and even make him a shopping list.
The final paint job looks good from a distance, but there are noticeable drips and splatters. Whether this was because of skill or pressure to complete the job as quickly as possible, we don't know. No one, including Lucas who was auspiciously the project manager, came out to inspect the final product.
When the bill came, we disputed the extra time for the lead carpenter and complained about the fact that the nail holes did not get filled. Rather than taking responsibility for not meeting the terms, they used the contract to defend their time and materials charge for carpentry and then claimed that the siding was not installed correctly and therefore was our contractor's responsibility. We checked with an architect, who said that there was no problem with the siding installation.
Finally, after a few days of back and forth over the bill, we got a response from Alex, who claimed that we were past due and in danger of being assessed late fees and possibly voiding our warranty. Given the apparent bait and switch with the contract, we have no confidence that Willco will uphold the terms of its warranty should we run into issues.

WILLCO did a great job on our garage expansion. I've never had a major project like this done before, but I knew there was more potential in expanding what was there. The team I worked with from WILLCO explained the process from start to finish from the first meeting. They were also patient and worked with me to understand what I had envisioned. I had some specific details and future accommodations I wanted in the layout and Aluna, the designer, managed a way to incorporate all of them. Then Jason, the lead carpenter, made it a reality, even discovering and repairing some problems from the existing garage. And the project would not have been completed on time without Travis overseeing everything. I still get complements on how much better the house looks now and how seamlessly it blends with the old garage section. Even the shingles do not give it away since they only shingled the new half. Well done WILLCO!

We recently worked with Willco to do a bathroom remodel in our home. The bulk of the work included tile, paint, tub refinishing, and installation of new plumbing and electrical fixtures. From our very first point of contact through the final review, we could not have been more pleased with them and their comprehensive services.
With little idea of what we wanted (other than an improved bathroom) the designer and project leaders were extremely helpful. They listened well to our needs and preferences, and responded with several helpful solutions that struck a perfect balance between practicality and beauty. Throughout the entire process, the communication was outstanding, work was completed on time and within budget, and it was clear that they attend to every little detail without ever losing sight of the bigger picture. Daily updates from the project manager were very helpful and kept our sense of confidence high from start to finish. And the final product continues to wow us, every time we step into our lovely new bathroom!
We are also grateful for the commitment Willco demonstrates to our local community. In fact, we first connected with Willco through a generous donation they provided to our kids’ neighborhood school annual auction in support of art and music education. To work with such a capable team of professionals who also understand the importance of supporting our local community allowed us to value the entire experience that much more, and one we will appreciate for many years to come.
We HIGHLY recommend Willco to anyone seeking to work with a group of very creative, skilled, courteous, and result-oriented professionals. From our first phone call to the last (which was a follow up by them two weeks after project completion to just make sure everything was working to our satisfaction!) we can state with complete confidence that this is a first-rate operation whose values and outstanding service are matched only by the quality and beauty of the final results.

We had Willco design a new room where an attic had
been. Interesting given this is an old (1949) house,
so some uneven settling had occurred, which made it
tricky. Now in the place of a dusty dark attic, we
have a new bedroom, lots of light with 6 windows,
and a view looking east at Mt Hood.
Willco was very professional and kept us appraised of
'Surprises' they found as they completed the work.
Overall we are quite satisfied! Neighbors walk or
bike by, who've been watching it unfold, and compliment
us on how it turned out. Nice !

Let me begin by saying that my home was built in 1886. It's a Victorian duplex with some detail work such as fish scales & other decorative trim work. I got 3 estimates, all in the same range. I chose Willco because my neighbor hired Willco to paint his house, 8 years ago. The home still looks freshly painted. That said... I am extremely happy with the project. Especially with Randy H., manager, and Juan Carlos, the head painter. Randy kept me informed immediately with any problems or concerns. He responded to me promptly. Juan is an excellent painter, very efficient & hard working. This was a tough job, as the house is very old.
My home was completed on schedule, below the estimate!, & very well done. I highly recommend Randy, Juan Carlos and Willco!

WillCo completed the best bathroom remodel I've ever seen in our craftsman home. Everyone who saw it loved it! They also built stunning bookshelves in our library. When completed, they looked so authentic, no one would guess that they had not been original to the house.

Willco transformed our home's "curb appeal" and made life a whole lot simpler for us!
Our home is located in a urban neighborhood undergoing growth at a quick pace. Our lot is undersized and did not have a driveway or garage. Both parking and storage were an issue for us.
Willco planned a driveway and designed and built a custom cedar "shed" for our yard. I quote shed because it's so gorgeous that all of our neighbors think it's a fancy Swedish sauna!
The planning and execution of the project couldn't have been more spot-on!

WILLCO has painted and re-painted the exterior of our home, re-built our porch and re-modeled our kitchen. The projects have been spaced out over several years yet we have had many of the same employees work on our house. Their work is uniformly excellent and demonstrates a company-wide commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction.
WILLCO completed our kitchen remodel in 8 ½ weeks time with minimal disruption to our busy lives - the room was stripped down to the studs and completely reconstructed. During the design process WILLCO worked with us to creatively solve the many space constraints inherent in an old home. There was great attention to detail throughout and nothing was overlooked – from truing the studs with hand cut shims to painstakingly accurate cabinetry installation in spaces with less than an inch to spare. Even the stock cabinetry was upgraded for a custom-carpentry feel.
Although our kitchen was completed almost two years ago we have yet to get over that “new love” feeling every time we are cooking and/or entertaining; we get regular comments from visitors about how well designed and constructed the space is. We have multiple projects planned for the future and are excited to work with WILLCO again and again.

Willco has done many projects for me including exterior painting, fence work, and most recently remodeling my 100+ year old kitchen. They are always courteous, reliable, & prompt. I can count on the work to be top notch, even other contractors have commented on the excellent work done by them. They are my go to contractor because of their commitment to excellence.
