Featured on This Old House, Young Ideas is a quality minded residential painting company. We believe in doing the best job possible at the best price and stand behind our work. We’ve been in business for over thirty five years, providing Greater Boston with professional interior and exterior painting services. Our clients include homeowners, architects, builders and decorators, all who appreciate fine workmanship, done well and on time. We aim to make the painting experience as pleasant as possible and our polite, courteous employees are often cited for their care and gentle approach. Our staff is our strongest asset as many have been with us for ten or more years. We have a long list of repeat customers who know we will always be there to meet their needs, but we welcome new clients and the chance to show you our abilities. We have been working with Jeff for 16 years and every time his work is incredible. The paint lasts forever. We have had him paint the outside, the inside, stripes, 3 color textured walls...he does it all. I highly recommend.

Jeff is a professional of the highest standard. His foreman and employees on site were courteous and friendly. Clean up at the end of the day was great and finally at the end of the job, it was done very promptly. Great value, character and creativity!

We have used Jeff Young and Young Ideas for many projects over the years, and we can highly recommend them. Jeff and his staff are very responsive and easy to work with. We had them paint the exterior of our house and parts of the interior. They did a superior job. Jeff even helped with color choices and some design ideas. He is an excellent architect, builder, painter, and handyman. He can build and repair just about anything! Last winter, he went above and beyond for us when we had an emergency-- we had a bad ice dam and he came right over and removed the ice and snow on the roof! We recommend Jeff and Young Ideas without reservation! You will be happy with whatever work they do for you. Five plus stars!!

We have used Young Ideas for multiple projects. The most recent was a total house renovation. A 2 family was converted to a 1 family. Jeff was terrific. He guided us about paint selection. He was also very patient as I had several different paint samples applied in different locations before choosing the color. The quality of work is exceptional. HIs team always cleaned the area when they were finished. Jeff Young and company painted the entire interior and exterior of our current home. Jeff is very prompt in returning calls and emails. I wouldn't hesitate to use his company in the future.

I have worked with Young Ideas for over 20 years. They have painted the exterior and the interior of our home. Their work is excellent, they are meticulous, trustworthy, always finishes the project within the timeframe and budget. When ice dams caused damage to the house and we needed a touch up on the exterior ....they were quick to respond and came over immediately. We have really enjoyed working with Jeff and his team and highly recommend them.

We have known Jeff for over 30 years. He has painted all of our homes,inside and out multiple times. We trust him completely. He is not only a true professional but an overall good guy who goes above and beyond for his clients. His prices are fair and the quality of work is second to none. He shows up on time and finishes the job in a timely manner.

While working for a high-end contractor, I hired Young Ideas a number of times to fulfill our painting needs for projects both big and small (lasting from one day to multiple months). Jeff was always very easy to work, clearly communicating his approach to each job. He also managed his crews with a high expectation of professionalism, job site cleanliness, and punctuality. I had worked with many painters in past, but Jeff quickly became my "go-to" painter. I would highly recommend Young Ideas to anyone.

I hired Young Ideas to paint the exterior of our Victorian era house. It was an involved and fairly complicated job. they completed the work in a very professional manner, fixed any issues that we brought to their attention and the house looks great.

Young Ideas has painted my house inside and out over the years - I believe it's been 16 - and I have been more than happy every time. Jeff always does a careful walk through with me before starting the project to ensure that he has a firm description of what I want done. He hires thoughtful, careful painters who are clean, courteous and treat my home with respect. I have also had Young Ideas paint my parents' condo and they were equally fastidious. I highly recommend Jeff Young and his company.

Jeff Young of Young Ideas has been painting for us and many of my family members for 15+ years. He and his crew are extremely skilled at what they do. They are also the nicest people I have ever had work at my house. It is never an inconvenience when they are in my home. They are incredibly professional. They arrive on time and always leave the house clean at the end of the day. The paint always lasts a long time, not only because of the quality of the finish application but also because of the time they spend in prepping the area to be painted. They are meticulous and a joy to work with. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable from his many years in the business and is happy to do small basic projects to larger scope/specialty projects. His crew works efficiently and he sticks to the budget.
