We used Vanessa to contemporise and add some luxe to our holiday apartment on the Cote d'Azur. Vanessa was incredibly professional from the get-go, she listened to how we used the space, things we had tried , and understood what we wanted. She spent time in the space and came back with a fully thought through and costed plan. She implemented it with skill and made the whole process fun and involving for us. We would love to work with her again.

Vanessa provided us with professional technical expertise with all our lighting requirements throughout our home. Her design ideas with built-in wardrobes, soft furnishings and strategic placement of artworks has created something we can call home. She was a delight to deal with throughout the process. Vanessa transformed our London apartment. All of her ideas were superb. Her suggestions for lighting, colours, fabrics and fittings were always perfect and totally in keeping with the overall plan. We have worked with Vanessa over many years on various projects, from a Victorian town house to a rural barn. Every time Vanessa brings experience, professionalism and an understated elegant style. She has a particularly good spatial eye and transformed our bedroom by moving a wall less than a metre! She is an absolute dream to work with as she is relaxed, calm, reliable and enthusiastic. Vanessa Buirski worked with me to update and transform the interior of our victorian house. She had very good ideas when it came to making the most of small spaces in 2 bathrooms, including using a sliding door, and moving a wall, with little cost but a big impact. Vanessa is also very good with lighting. All the lighting we installed added to the overall design and I particularly liked the reading lights she installed next to the bed. The cupboards she designed for our bedroom were excellent. Specifically designed for our needs they were a joy to use, and original too, with lovely handles and small details that made them stand out from the ready to buy variety. Vanessa is extremely professional to work with. She has plenty of her own ideas but listens and adapts to her clients. The end result was a collaboration of ideas, which is what I wanted. I cannot recommend her more highly.

vanessa gave us an excellent service and was most helpful in areas where we had doubts. her mood boards were particularly useful and also the various items that she sourced. i would certainly use her again and would recommend her.

When we moved into our new house in Hampshire a few years ago I realised after a couple of expensive decorating mistakes that it would be sensible (and cost effective) to ask a professional to help. Vanessa has a fantastic sense of how space works, and a great eye for how colour and furniture contribute to this. She is so good at explaining her ideas, and helping less creative clients visualise what she suggests. She is also brilliant at working with existing items, and incorporating old with new, both to help keep costs down, but also so that one can keep ones favourite things, but see them transformed in a new scheme. The end results are everything we hoped for, and more, and we could never have achieved this without Vanessa. She has a warm, collaborative and empathetic approach, is a fantastic listener, and whilst she has wonderful ideas and solutions does not impose ‘her’ style on her clients. The result is a house that feels like our home, and not a design statement!

Vanessa brings a wonderfully calm warmth to her commissions and we can not thank her enough for guiding us through a very hectic phase of house renovations . When all we felt was the overwhelming chaos of decisions, choice and option overload, Vanessa saw calm order and possibilities.
