About Us

Architect's practice specialising in Schools, One-off Houses, and Historic Buildings. Our one-off houses respond entirely to the character of the site and the clients particular wishes. Our portfolio shows how we choose not to have house style, but instead start each new project afresh. Our portfolio shows a great variety of designs, varying from the innovative vaulted house in Suffolk, to a wholly contextual design to replace a ruin on a corner of Clerkenwell Green.

My modern house was built in 1968 and is a listed building. I wanted an architect who understood the qualities of modern design. Alan carried out a comprehensive refurbishment and maintained all the original features while keeping the character intact. The builder was sympathetic and worked closely with us to deliver an excellent outcome. I am happy to recommend Alan Dale Architects.

'As main contractors, we were pleased with how the house looked when completed, and we believe that it displays the skills of our workforce in the standard of finish which was achieved. We worked well in a spirit of co-operation on this complex project with Alan Dale the architect, and having produced his working drawings, we were then in daily contact with him throughout the project, and if a problem was encountered this was quickly resolved between us, and a drawing produced when required. In this way, we were able to proceed in a positive manner with good morale amongst the workforce. We will be pleased to work with Alan Dale again in future.'
