About Us

Designplay Architecture & Design, run by chartered architect Peter Lay; provides the very best design services in Yorkshire to people looking to improve their homes or business premises. We thrive on seeing potential in buildings which others can’t, and enjoy breathing life back into buildings which have seen better days. We can provide services to meet your budget; from early stage concept design and outline planning, to a fully managed build process. We can be flexible to meet your needs. Peter studied Architecture at Leeds Met, where he was nominated for the RIBA President’s Medal and listed as one 50 top graduate designers in the UK by Blueprint magazine. He went on to gain experience working for a number of well respected Yorkshire practices before setting up Designplay. Peter is a chartered architect, registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
