Danny at ds designs attention to detail was first class making sure that every element of the planning applications was covered in detail . Danny is very experienced and was able to point out errors in the planning departments responses where they themselves had made the wrong assumptions or interpretations of the current planning rules and regulations which differ from council to council .Danny spent a lot of time reviewing comments made by the planning office and was able to find a way forward to get a successful outcome .in my opinion Danny has always gone above and beyond on my projects and I’m very grateful for all his efforts to my projects all in all outstanding success would not hesitate to recommend to anyone for further work

After moving into a new property, we met with Danny to chat through what we wanted in creating our forever home. Danny came up with a few design options for us, and then worked with us to get what we wanted, making the most of the space and using his design expertise. His commitment to getting the design right, attention to detail and knowledge was excellent. He has good relationships with the planning departments and made the planning stage stress free, keeping us updated every step of the way. We honestly can’t recommend DS Designs enough. After two previous Architects failed to understand and deliver our vision, we were blown away by Danny’s approach and understanding of what we were looking to achieve. Danny not only understood our vision but was able to technically explain why some designs couldn’t be achieved structurally. He was then able to make some fantastic alternative design suggestions that were both practical but also in keeping with our vision. The result was a design that would finally pass planning permission but also deliver a better design that we are delighted with. Danny is also not scared to push back on ideas that won’t work but does so using a wealth of technical experience and can support his reasoning. This to us was so valuable as previous architects would not push back on matters that in hindsight simply wouldn’t work and we would have some horrible surprises if we were to try and build some of our earlier design ideas. Danny discussed various design options with us. He drafted these so we could then discuss them as a family at a convenient moment. We made contact a number of times and he explained the benefits of the different approaches which helped us choose the design that met our needs best.
