About Us

Established in the summer of 2020 Funlab is a new and vibrant design practice. Prior to setting up Funlab founder Luke has accumulated some 15 years of experience in bespoke studios and large commercial practice. Projects range from one of houses and bespoke extensions to major multi use developments. Funlab is passionate about architecture, interiors, interventions and the spaces around them. Projects are client focused, not statement driven. There are no house styles nor preconceived ideas, these do not translate for every client or every site. Teamwork and collaboration with client and specialists the right solution can be delivered that aims to excite and enhance. Here it is believed that no project is too small but they all start with a big idea.

My husband and I downsized to a 1960 bungalow in need of full update. I suffer from arthritis and the main issue was for property to be fully accessible and meet my current and future needs. In particular we wanted to ensure whilst accessible it didn't look like a property adapted for disability but look sleek and modern. We had our own ideas but not the knowledge or expertise to put into practice. Working with Luke was a very productive experience. He grasped our vision and designed the remodel making the most of space and function. All our friends and family were amazed at the result. Some thought we were mad to take the project on but the end result is much better than we initially imagined.
