We knew what additional space we wanted but had no idea of how to get there. Although we wanted a new and modern extension, we wanted it to compliment and make the most of the existing house and property – bringing old and new together in a seamless fashion. Jim not only designed the perfect space that has become the hub of our home, drawing people and the outdoors in, but also showed respect to the old house turning it from a compact 4 bedroom home into a beautiful 5 bedroom home. As we have never undertaken anything on this scale, Jim kept us right the whole way through the build, always taking the time to listen to any concerns, talking us through everything and keeping a watchful and professional eye on the process. Thanks to Jim we not only ended up with a fantastic, spacious and bright ‘new forever home’ built to an outstanding specification but actually enjoyed the adventure!

I would definitely recommend Jim, we loved our extension and 9 years later people still say 'wow' when they walk into the kitchen area. Nice to see photos of it here on Houzz. Jim produced lovely sketches of the proposed extension and his ideas without a doubt challenged my own ideas. Great architect.

We contacted Jim initially for ideas only for our house which had been bothering us for some time due to a poor layout, dark, pokey rooms, lack of storage and poor access to our back garden. We were delighted with some of the ideas he came up with, some of them incredibly simple, and we hired him to design what turned out to be a modest extension, with other renovations and alterations, all of which which have totally transformed our house. Jim took care of the statutory approvals and organised a first class builder, and the works were finished exactly within our agreed budget. We are absolutely delighted with the finished result and would have no hesitation in recommending Jim to anyone thinking of home improvements.
