Fran worked with us during lockdown to design our extension and then led on the approvals process with Cardiff Council as this is a grade II listed property. This was a complex process but Fran navigated us through it with expertise. Fran was endlessly patient with us as we explored different options, producing numerous designs and drawings. Once we started the work, Fran acted as project manager, liaising with the builders, and led on the many interactions with utilities companies as we had to redirect gas and electricity and have a new stop tap installed by Welsh Water. Fran was a steady, calm presence across all the dramas of construction and ensured that we stayed on track, to time and, more importantly, to budget. I'd definitely work with Fran again - she's creative, pragmatic, experienced and a great communicator. She's also a lovely person who deeply cares about the quality of her work. We are really delighted with the work.

Fran was absolutely amazing. We had bought a house in Cardiff and the layout just didn’t work for us but Fran came up with some really practical beautiful designs for what we could do including extending the kitchen and changing/adding bathrooms. She was brilliant at working with us, the builder and the structural engineer and I felt went beyond the support I was expecting. Our project was to design and build a two storey extension and make some changes to the internal layout of our existing house to make our home better suit our family's needs. We chose Oscar Clarke following reviews on Houzz and the confidence that she instilled in me from our initial telephone conversation. She has designed us a beautiful house and has been professional, friendly and very efficient through out. Excellent service provided by Fran. She helped us clarify our thoughts about changes we wanted to make in our lounge, utility room and bathroom. She then went on to draw up detailed plans to meet our requirements and arranged for builders quotes and accompanied builders to our house. She then supervised the work. All in all an excellent service. I would thoroughly recommend Fran to anybody and would certainly use her again if we need other design work done.
