Rik, was able to take our thoughts, desires and wishes from ideas, to concepts, to reality with an ease that made you enjoy the process and need to see the end result.

Rik was our architect on our house in Knysna, South Africa. His well planned ideas and dedication delivered a masterpiece and we were more than happy with his service. He was very patient and guided the building team in every way. He is a real artist with well thought out ideas. Highly recommended.

Embarking on a first time house build, on a particularly unique site with an uninterrupted sea view - we could not have chosen a better architect. Rik remained respectful of our budget whist creating a house that ticked all the boxes on my list of desires. He designed a house with clever double volume in the right places allowing the breathing space I wanted, and plenty of glass to profit on the spectacular view, whilst maintaining complete privacy from our neighbors. Being a south facing house in a county (South Africa) that depends on northern sun for warmth and light, Rik expertly designed the space to have maximum light from every angle, whilst allowing the warmth to enter from the sun in winter and the cool air to enter and circulate the house from large sliding glass doors in summer when desired. He designed a house that is comfortable to live in all year round; which must have been a challenge given the property is exposed to all natural elements being on a cliff edge of the ocean. Building a house is a stressful endeavor, yet Rik remained the only contractor on the job who was without doubt the most pleasant to deal with every step of the way. Our recommendation of his service from a professional standpoint is without doubt highly recommended. He also happens to be a really nice guy whom we are happy to have remained in contact with and can call a lovely friendly acquaintance.
