This is our 3rd but the most radical home remodel projects and we are so blessed to have Volker on board! His professionalism and knowledge is the best out of all the architects we have experienced. But what makes Volker really stand out, is that he really cares about delivering the vision and the creativity this project required, with as much enthusiasm and excitement as we do. This is what truly makes a difference between delivering a project vs delivering a home that we love. We feel really supported by Volker throughout the entire process. We were looking to remodel and extend our house in Lichfield. I've always loved bold, modern, minimalistic architecture and design so it was important to find the right architect to work with. We met with 5 Midlands based architects specialising in modern design but as soon we met with Volker from Studio Gotz we knew we had found our guy. Volker was amazing to work with. He took the visions and concepts we had for the project and delivered exceptional designs that gave us exactly what we were looking for and exceeded expectations. Volker introduced us to one of the construction companies he regularly works with to do the build. It was a fairly complex project involving steel framework and a lot of glass so it needed a team that could handle the project and the builders Volker introduced us to were the best we've ever worked with. At every step of the journey, from planning to the finished build, Volker and his team worked alongside us to ensure everything went smoothly and was completed to a high standard. The finished project is simply breathtaking. It has transformed our house and living space and is a pleasure to be in every day. We would highly recommend Volker and Studio Gotz. In my opinion, they are the best architects in the Midlands area for bold, modern residential design.

Volker was recommended to us by neighbours. Throughout the whole process, he was professional and supportive. We had never done anything like this before and apart from the designs themselves, Volker helped with getting quotes from builders. We have an end terrace 4 bed room house built in the 20s. His ideas for our extension were beyond what we had envisaged possible and now the build is complete, we have a beautiful house with the living space downstairs transformed. We couldn't be happier with the outcome.

We engaged Volker’s services when we decided to modernise and redesign our traditional 1930s home in Harborne. His plans skilfully coordinated the traditional front elevation of the property with the (new) modern rear. He focussed on producing a design that improved space and flow within our home. Our living space previously, had lots of disjointed rooms (many long and thin) his alterations consisted of making better use of that space with relatively modest extensions. Volker helped us to be quite bold with the design of the rear elevation - it is quite striking and definitely not the standard sort of thing you see around. Friends and family have been impressed with Volker’s design and the improvements the redesign has made, in terms of quality of space. We completed the building in early 2020 and hugely appreciated the additional (and better) space during lockdown. Volker was very easy to deal with, responsive to queries, and gave lots of time and consideration to the detail of the design.

Highly recommend Volker at STUDIOGÖTZ for his innovative design and attention to detail while being friendly, efficient and helpful. Our aim was to create something different, using outside the box ideas, getting away from the standard semi-detached concept. Volker and STUDIOGÖTZ was definitely the right choice. It feels like having moved to a new house and not extended an old one. 2020 was a difficult year for all, but we had the best Christmas present. . Thank you for our 'new' house.

Volker from StudioGötz immediately identified what our house needed. A communal space where all our individual family activities could come together rather than being siloed off into living rooms, lounges, dining rooms, etc., etc. The end result is exactly that, executed as an intelligent, practical and elegant scheme. We wanted to have our very own Grand Designs in suburbia, and that's what we got with Volker's help. We didn't want the same as everybody else, but were really keen to modernise our dated 70's house, with really interesting and unusual architectural features, that added value to our property. My wife and I purchased a large but dated house and were looking for someone to help us make it more functional, modern and meet our needs.
