A P Gooch Basement waterproofing

I had a terrible experience with AP Gooch, the quality of their work, and their warranty (I've just had an excellent experience with another company, upholdng thier warranty, which reminded me to post this review). Adam was initially very impressive - really knowledgeable, and I felt like I'd made a good decision. After a few years (around 3) of installing the waterproof membrane, I started to see mould appear on the carpet, in the place where I originally had an issue. The amount of times I called Adam, to arrange for him to come round, was ridiculous. I called him so many times, sometimes every day for a few weeks, over the space of the year. It was incredibly frustrating. I reached out to various people in his field, and one consultant gave me the name of Adam's boss - so I changed my channel and got through to someone - and finally saw some action. Someone came round to view the damage (literally 18months after raising the issue) - and the conclusion was that there was above average rainfall - and I was told they would see hoe things evovle. This made me realise that the warranty is worthless - they will always find a way to absolve themselves of responsitibility. I wasn't there when the work was being done, but my neighbour saw that the layer of screed was applied very shoddily - and only one coat was applied - so our suspicion is that this poor work allowed the water the seep in. The whole process was deeply frustrating, I felt helpless, and annoyed. I sought legal action but decided to take the peaceful route out, and admit defeat.

Having moved into an old pub that had a disused beer cellar we decided to investigate whether it was possible to convert the cellar into a games room. As the cellar was below the water table it was prone to flooding. We contacted AP Gooch and they came and surveyed the site. additional to the flooding there was a limited ceiling height and A P Gooch made suggests on how the height could be increased. This meant excavating down roughly 4 feet and underpinning and as AP Gooch had a relationship with a construction company they had previously worked with they recommended them. The excavation and underpinning took roughly 4 months to complete after that time AP Gooch were able to start with the water proofing and wiring and finishing. The project was completed in April 2017.
