Chambers reputation grew quickly since opening its doors and in 1985 Ray and Linda moved to a bigger showroom and began to diversify the business. The business name changes to Chambers Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms to reflect all the services they now offered, and in 1986 became one of the main dealerships for Symphony Kitchens one of the only stockist of the brand in the area- and this relationship is going on to this day. In 1988 Ray and Linda’s son Marc joined the business as an Apprentice and on completion of this became a Partner. The family run business continued to grow and gained a number of Industry Awards culminating in national praise winning the Armitage Shanks National Showroom of the Year. Because Armitage Shanks cited Chambers of Dinnington’ as the national winner, and as the prize drew so much national and local press attention the family decided to change the business name to Chambers of Dinnington. The following year the business received another boost winning a Special Commendation Award from Ideal Standard who had taken over Armitage Shanks by this time and the prize was a trip for Ray and Linda to visit Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
