I am a London based designer maker, who specialises in free standing fine furniture made from solid wood. However, I am comfortable using a range of materials, and enjoy experimenting with interesting designs and new methods of manufacturing.
Having had a keen amateur interest in woodworking from a young age, I studied a course in Fine Woodworking at the Building Crafts College, London. I enjoy producing interesting, bespoke furniture, so in 2013, Edmund Jacobs Design was born.
I am also able to produce bespoke fitted furniture to a range of finishes. For examples of this, please see the work in my gallery. The furniture that I produce is finished by hand, is designed to complement the materials and surrounding spaces, and is built to last.
I am always trying to develop my designs and products by exploring new methods of production and manufacture. I am most experienced working with solid wood and enjoy the challenges associated with making the most of its’ natural beauty and properties. I am inspired by nature, and many of my designs take inspiration from the natural world.
Whether you have a specific idea in mind, or just fancy something new, please get in touch.
