As part of the interior design of our new offices, Tim designed and built two hanging bookcases for us for our client-facing foyer areas. We were delighted with his work and the bookcases have attracted lots of compliments.

Tim did a fantastic job on our new kitchen, TV unit and under stairs cupboard. He really knows his stuff and would highly recommend.

Having downsized, we needed to create extra storage without losing too much floor-space. We needed a built in wardrobe and seating with built-in storage in our dining area. Tim was the cheapest and the only one who was going to provide a truly bespoke job (the others were going to buy pre-built modules and fit them to our space. He took on all of our ideas and came back with suggestions in order to improve functionality and save cost. In short, we would highly recommend Tim for quality of product, value for money and customer service.

Tim Germain has produced several pieces of work for me. He created an amazing dresser for my kitchen, a triangular desk for our sitting desk, an expansive boot rack for our hall and bespoke glazed oak front door. The quality and design of all of these pieces in superb, and have been much admired. There is no warping, colour discloration or deterioration - they look as good two or three years on as they did on the first day. Tim is charming chap to deal with and I have would have absolutely no hesitation at all in recommending him!

Tim Germain designed and made a complete fitted kitchen birch plywood with a white formica worktop. This was to replace an unattractive and awkward to use 1970s kitchen in the large basement kitchen/dining room of our house. The new kitchen included a stainless steel sink and mixer tap as well as an ingenious solution to make full use of the corner units for high capacity storage. The finished work appears utilitarian but in actual fact is finished off to a very high standard. The thought Tim Germain has put into making the kitchen becomes more apparent with every passing day. It functions so well and easily we almost take it for granted now. The kitchen has so far been effortless to keep looking clean and tidy, such is the excellence of the surfaces and finishes used throughout. Its true to say that Tim Germain's kitchen has made a considerable improvement to our family life at mealtimes.

It is a real privilege to have some genuine Tim Germain in our house. He built and installed bookshelves of the very highest quality in my study, transforming an ordinary little space into a luxurious private library which gives great pleasure every time I go into it. My wife and friends are most envious. Tim Germain is craftsman who combines superlative technical skill with artistic flair; he is above all a perfectionist who takes pride in producing work of distinction. From first discussions, through designs, to completion, the whole process has been a delight - and Tim charges an exceedingly fair rate for what he does.

Tim was assigned to make a set of bespoke office cupboards for my basement office. The results are great, and took into account everything I requested. Tim is a pleasure to deal with and I will be using him again in the future.

I approached Tim after seeing his work here. I was looking for a modular storage unit - part shelving, part cabinet, with drawers - a bit of reclaimed furniture pieces in among the birch ply. Tim was candid about pricing and his work style, as well as being open to my ideas, and to my foraging for cabinet doors and drawers I liked. I wold highly recommend Tim for the beauty of his work, his craftsmanship and his straightforward manner.

The first project was a rise and fall oak TV cabinet for the bedroom. Beautiful and functional Made from a tree that fell near a, now straightened black spot bend, on a road much travelled by me. This oak may have been sacrificed for the safety of the public. So sometimes when I watch TV in bed I smile contentedly, tighten my seatbelt and admire 'The TV cabinet that helped save lives'. Later, on a visit to Tim's workshop, we saw a spalted beech dining table under construction and were captivated by the beauty of its unusual grain. As this wood is not always available, and Tim had some in stock, we commissioned our dining table immediately. I now often pause mid meal and take a walk with the grain. Then I found that Tim had obtained some bog oak. Buried in a peat bog maybe hundred or even thousands of years old and the tree itself possible hundreds of years old. So all that has happened during its life and burial fires the historical imagination. It could have been around BC. I had to have something made using this wood. The solution was a consol table inlaid with panels of bog oak. The table has a hinged top which when extended links and locks to the spalted beech table to create a dining table to seat 8. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Tim on these projects as they have all been joint exercises. What I enjoy most is that I have furniture made by a local artist from, where possible, locally sourced wood and in design are unique to us. They are functional and have a beauty that derives from and enhances the materials used. They are all in daily use.

Tim is a great craftsman working to a high standard. He is inventive; his designs are quite often light and playful. I would definitely recommend.

Tim is a great chap who has a refreshing hands on approach to any project. His work is honest, clean and inspiring.

Tim's brief was to design a series of storage boxes to display books, media and art. He worked in multi layers of birch ply and incorporated existing retro cupboards and drawers to produce a versatile, innovative and aesthetically pleasing scheme which I believe will evolve with my changing needs.
